The Chevy Trax is mechanically similar to the Buick Encore that became part of the GM-Trucks.com extended family this past year. These subcompact crossovers are all the rage and many manufacturers are still rolling out their first efforts (Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3 etc.) Betsy Flegg, senior marketing manager, Chevrolet Crossovers explained, saying, “The small SUV segment is the fastest growing in the industry and models such as the new Trax Midnight Edition provides customers an expressive option.” GM is way ahead in this new popular segment with robust sales. Fans of the GM truck line know the drill by now, but let's run down what makes this little truck-et special.

The Trax Midnight Edition starts with an LTZ trim. To this, rims, door handles, side molding trim, bezels, and more get the black-out treatment. The 1.4-liter turbo stays the same, but owners of the Trax and Encore find it to be a good fit. The Midnight Package only adds $500 to the LTZ's $26K MSRP. The Trax Midnight Edition will be on sale in February.
