Question

I've read all these threads and haven't quite found a straight answer to my question. Seems like most people are beefing their rigs up, I want to go in the other direction. Is there an aftermarket shock available that will dial down the firmness of the ride I'm getting with the factory setup? The truck is great on average to good roads but here in Los Angeles we have some really bad roads & freeways and the ride gets downright punishing at times.

I never have heavy load situations that I need to factor in I'm usually running empty. Also I realize going to a 17" or 18" tire and wheel with a taller sidewall would help some but I like the look of what it came with and I hate to start changing all that.

I guess I'm looking for a wimpy passenger car type shock that would fit the truck. Just seems to me if such a thing exists it would help some???? Or am I just wrong and it's all about the springs and nothing will really soften the ride?

And I know someone will say I should have bought a car if I wanted a car ride....I just like trucks.

Thanks everyone for any advice..

Go to a true off road shock like the Fox. It softens up the ride a lot.
