I have always had silverado's. I really wanted another one, but went to 4 Chevy dealerships and could not find what i wanted in price range.stopped by a GMC dealer told them what I could spend and they hooked me up with a 15 sierra z71 sle. Got it cheaper then the Chevy's I looked at,and it had a lot more options. So I bought it.

GMC dealer less than a mile away. Looked at used on line and found the truck I bought. :happysad:

The Silverado Custom and the Elevation Edition Sierras were the perfect truck for me. The Chevrolet dealer was more willing to deal and had no problem locating a truck in the color I wanted.

I've had GMC thrucks since 95. I just liked the styling better than the Chevy. Although while looking recently (purchased my 16 in July) I did consider the Chevy as I think the new 16+ trucks look good.

Just a puttering around vehicle for me and I wanted a Denali cuz I never had one before so GMC was the only way to go.

Same here. Always wanted a Denali. My Tahoe flooded, so insurance bought me a brand new blk/blk Denali. I love it.

I think with K2 body style GMC has a nicer looking front end. Coupled with the painted bumpers on the All Terrain and I fell in love.

My location Gmc wasn't giving out any good deals.Chevy was hands down better dealer. This was going to be my 2nd buy at Gmc and I explained to them I buy cars/trucks every two years repeat customers are the best customers, still no deal.

Sounds like this became a what looks better thread..... I choose because... I wanted a damn new truck and the 6.2 stuffed in it

My dad always bought GMC and when I have purchased in the past was GMC. This time I was open to the Chevy but while looking, there were better rebates and pricing for the GMC. After building both brands on the internet with the options I wanted, the GMC SLT Premium Plus had the best deal. Once I got to the dealership and started the back and forth, I got the Denali at a price that I could not refuse.

A good deal is always a good thing too, can't fault ya there. And FYI I have had 3 GMCs (05, 07, 08) and 2 Chevs. (99, current 12) I'm just picky about the 2014+ models :chevy:

i've always preferred the front end of chevys

i did talk to the gmc dealership before buying my chevy, but i just prefer the 'look' of the chevy more. my previous truck is an '89 chevy, so new 'bells and whistles' weren't really a big deal/selling feature. i think pretty much all my 'must haves' have been standard equipment in trucks for decades (ha! ha!) and the only reason i was getting a 'new' truck was becuz my 2-seater wasn't cutting it with 2 kids

mind you, if i had to choose to buy new today and get a '16 or '17, i'd likely go gmc becuz i'm just not a fan of the 16/17 front end on the chevys

I work for a gm dealership, so I ordered exactly what I wanted at a significant discount lol.

I honestly do like the ltz painted front end better but I will be changing the grille anways. And color matched my wheel mouldings, so that looks way better than stock.

I had been checking out the Chevys but when they first offered the 20% off MSRP it did not included the Silverado LTZ so since the Sierra SLT was included I went to check them out and drove one home that evening. I am glad it worked out that way cause after checking out the GMC I liked it better!
