New DIC screens?

Recommended Posts

I have a 16 ccsb z71 and was browsing through some of the other sub forums and saw this screen posted. I've never seen this and was wondering if there was a trick to see it, beyond enabling the screens in the options.

If it's a new screen that's not available for the older trucks, out of curiosity, is there anything else new there?

Ah, looking at the picture, it looks like this would be a 2500 or something. It's diesel. That's probably why.

I was wondering how you guys were able to tell just by looking at the gauge! Guess I missed that disclaimer under the fuel gauge.

Yeah it says in the fuel gauge " ultra low sulfur diesel fuel only"

and only has 5k rpm max

Also, those DIC "life left" reminders are based off mileage, not actual life left. Depending on the grade of fuel used and any additives, the actual life of the filter may be greater or worse. Not trying to be to technical. I always change my oil before my DIC tells me too.

That looks to be a 17 or a Chevy as well since it has blue gauge marks.

Actually the new GMC's now use blue lights as well.

It's a Chevy since it's a Z71 (not available on GMC).

That's why I was referring to it being a 17 (GMC) since it has the blue lights.
