2000 Chevy 6.0 Tuneup?

We bought a 2000 Chevy 2500 with 189k miles and with the 6.0l and need to get tuned up. I'm trying to decide if I need to replace the plug wires they Packard's which may be the factory original wires.

Are Packard wires the original wires (see pic for reference)?

I don't have a SES light, but need to scan it for codes.

Well I decided to just go ahead and get plugs and wires, so I know what I'm working with.

 

I did clean the MAF when I changed oil and I got 15.5 MPG this time.

 

Its a 2000 Chevy Silverado 4x4 with 6.0 4L80E and 3.73 gears and stock LT 245/75/R16 tires.

Did you get AC/Delco plugs to replace the old ones? I hope so! Congrats on the new truck.

I did get AC/Delco wires and NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plugs. Hopefully I'll get them installed this weekend.

I finally busy and connected my scanner to the truck and no codes were stored. I have not had any SES lights since I bought it.

 

I wanted to get the Denso TT Iridium Spark Plugs, but they were out of stock.
