Is this how they are supposed to fit?

I would think they would overhang a good inch or so

Have you loosened your knobs and slid it back a bit so you get more seal on the tailgate? Just watch the front of the box to make sure it stayed covered.

Not a fan of the backflip, I'm on my second one. Just got a paragon for my work truck (Ram 1500) and I love it so far

Maybe give a little bit more information?

Which BakFlip did you have? And why didn't you like it?

I didn't choose the paragon since it would be another painted surface to worry about & I didn't like how you had to push down on the panels to get them to slide forward.

Also it took up like 2 ft of the bed space...I have the full bed space still available now.

I contacted the company and the promptly sent a replacement, this one fits right and am pleased with it. Personally I think all of the covers no matter what brand are overpriced. I did get the MX4 for $705 delivered, best price I have seen anywhere

Impressed so far with this Fold-a-Cover G4 Elite $860.00 delivered to my door. I wanted a cover that the fron section can open independently of the other sections for easy access to a tool box at the front of the bed.

Put one on today. Simple and straightforward install. Loves how it sits and looks flush (except for the little buckles at the front). Looks quality. Looks and feels quality. Not bullet proof, but not flimsy in design or connectors...etc. Got a few light scratches on one of the outward facing panels but it's nothing a fine Sharpe didn't take care of. Tells me that it will scratch decently if put through any rough use though. I would say if it has a weak point it's some of the seals you have to stick on which can come slightly mashed from shipping. They are all replaceable though and I don't plan to put rare baseball cards or the Declaration back there so they should be fine. Sometimes I wonder what some of you guys put back there who demand a 100m deep water tight seal.

The cover fits into the rails nicely and has a good positive lock down. The 16+ remote tailgate lock will be a dream with this and the close the gate with the cover down feature is great too.

I was hoping to drill just the hole I needed through the plastic bed covers (sprayed with liner) but the tubes require an ungodly large $15 7/8" bit which likely won't even fit most home drills. So, out came the razor blade to free 2 of the bed plugs completely.

Overall I'm very happy with it post install. Hopefully it holds up.

Is that the 6.5' bed? If so, what's the measurement of the opening at the front?

The truck literature calls it a 6-6 bed? Looks like inside the rails (width) at the front towards the cab the ID of the bed rails at the top is 63 5/8" (63.625 inches) The G4 side rails set on top of the truck rails. Wish I had a BakBox2 for a GM +2014 6-6 bed so I could measure the OD width of it................

. I may have to fabricate an adapter of some kind when mine comes in. However how hard could that be? (my luck it will be impossible).

I guess you mean does it change width front to back? I think the front width is wider at 63.625 inches and at the rear tailgate end it is about 62 inches so tapers down from front to back. I think that is pretty typical of the GM trucks as I have moved bed covers between model years (on ones that have the same length bed of course) and they all seem to fit up pretty closely so do you have a BakBox2 there that you can check measurements on for me or what?

Has anyone noticed warping or flexing of the plastic bed rail cap where the metal clamps are attached?

Wondering if over overtightened or they simply need to include two more clamps, one for each side, to even out the load.

Awh OK my bad LOL. My Truck is a 6-6 standard bed and that front leaf of the fold a cover where you have the red line is approx 18 3/4" but it is only 17 1/4" between the bed and the front of the aluminum bracket that you can see on the other side in the pic. That might restrict the tool box it if sits tight against the truck bed rails. Anyway here are a few pics of the BakBox installed with the foldacover G4 Elite.

The BakBox is only 10" wide. I really like this setup because it allows me to reach past the tool box to retrieve any small items that might roll to the front of the bed by just flipping the front cover leaf back and reaching down past the BakBox.
