Headlight Cover Falling Off

So, uh, just noticed this today. 2017 with 1,000 miles. Passenger cover deal around headlight appears to be falling off! Very loose, did not pull much to see how it is supposed to be in there. Anyone else run into this?

I'm sure it's just 2 sided tape

You are under warranty take it to your dealer to repair

Just had the same issue with mine. They put more double sided tape on it and so far it is holding.

Yeah I knew it would be under warranty, was just curious. Tape? Super lame!

Tape is lame, We replace the capsule. it's not tape that holds it on. there is a plastic clip that breaks. have your dealer replace the capsule.

You'd be surprised at the amount of tape that holds moldings and various other items to a vehicle now days. Not necessarily this because these other guys have said there's a clip... but still...

Agreed,  and cost effective.  I'm not going to replace the capsule out of my pocket for sure.  If there was a clip to resolve it, I'd pull it apart but I didn't see any mention of what clip.

Nope its not 2 sided tape, there are little tabs that the color portion fits into the projector part. if the tabs break off the color part will come loose. They will try to tape it but it will not hold. A fix is a zip tie through the tab (small Zip Tie) securing the two piecies together. Or replace the painted piece.

I used a bead of silicone and some painters tape to hold it in place until it set up.  Worked.

The real question here is how and why do you have a 2017 with only 1,000 miles?
