2017_whitez71 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 do you get a cookie, chest pin, or trophy for hauling more lol. And how would you prove that you've hauled more? Do you call a friend or family member to verify? 2017 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71 6.2L 4.5" Zone 22x10 AF Grips 33x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Instagram @wildchevys In all seriousness though, I want to say thank you for your service... judging by your profile picture you must be a police officer. Thanks for all you do. Hope you know all this was just in fun. If you ever make it to IL hit me up and I will buy you a beer, or we can go shooting at my dad's range. Might have to take my truck since it is down a dirt road lol just joking. Best of luck to you, stay safe!

Nasty Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Im sorry I started this argument. I own both and for what I use them for I prefer the 5.3 with 6 speed. That's just my opinion. I say good day
'17 Sierra Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 This went from the op asking "Does anyone know if the 6.2 is available in an LT trim model?" to this now... This forum is as bad or worse as the Subaru forums at times, lol. LOL!!!
Roader Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Anyone who says a truck is fast is nuts to begin. If you want it to be "fast" then switch out gears and it'll feel "faster"

jimmyboy8301 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 STOCK truck.he said A truck, not a STOCK truck. And a STOCK syclone has a 0-60 of 4.3 seconds. That's a stock truck and that's fast. 2017 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71 6.2L 4.5" Zone 22x10 AF Grips 33x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Instagram @wildchevys

I doubt anyone that had or has one has loaded it with wood or sheet rock

Brandon5799 Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 People who don't think the 6.2 is much of an improvement over the 5.3 must not be car/truck enthusiast. When a crew cab 4wd truck can give most sports car a good run that's impressive to me. Maybe not off the line because of the weight difference but from a rolling start it's fun to play with guys who think their car is fast. And I can't help but grin when I can light up my 305/55/20's with no effort.

KARNUT Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 Anyone who says a truck is fast is nuts to begin. If you want it to be "fast" then switch out gears and it'll feel "faster"Those of you youngsters that say these trucks aren't fast weren't around during the muscle car heydays. Most of the muscle cars of the 60s-70s were slower than these trucks. In 1979 the fastest American made vehicle was the little red truck. Then their was some 13 second GMCs a few years ago. There's been a few single cab owners with 5.3s running 13s with just miner mods. I own a 12 second 92 Chevy truck . Unfortunately the days of plentiful 4 door rear drive V8 American made performance cars being plentiful are over. Generalizing that trucks are slow is just stupid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

michigan2500hd Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 If you aren't towing you don't need it. I have both and the 6.2isnt that much betterThe 6.2 is WORLDS better. I've had both and there's no comparison. No other stock truck produced nowadays will hang with it. I've been looking to be proceed wrong about that but it hasn't happened yet. It gets comparable millage to the 5.3 so after the intial cost difference not really a downside except premium fuel but the smiles to gallon are worth it. I mean come on.. You can't have too much power. Sent from my E6810 using Tapatalk
