GMC vs Chevy

GMC for me. Something about the styling of grill, body panels, the extra little fender trim, etc. make it a nicer looking truck. The bowtie's grill options are kinda fugly.

 

Plus the GMCs are faster.

The GMC trucks get thicker paint, better engines and better transmission programming. The Chevy gets the left over parts that don't make "professional grade".

What? Don’t believe this, not true at all. I’ve seen 2016 Silverado/Sierra TCM’s with the exact same calibrations. The 5.3L is a 5.3L, doesn’t change. GMC is for those GMC cronies that actually believe one is better than the other. People buy them while GM laughs at the amazing effectiveness of propaganda.

Number two, I like the GMC styling much more. It's subjective preference.

Look at residual value, and you will have your answer.  GMC holds value better, and more "options" are standard.

When I was buying, I liked the looks of the GMC, but not the extra $2500 the GMC dealer wanted over the Chevy.

In the 1500 series the Sierra grille and front end looks a bit better.  In the 2500 series the Silverado frond end looks way better.  The fender contours are better on the Chevy, the GMC is too sharp and pronounced.  I like my Chevy and I could have bought a GMC but I use my truck to do work and haul stuff not just get groceries and coffee.

Man I wish I would have known I could not use my Sierra for work or hauling stuff before i bought it. Maybe I'll sell it and get a chevy.

no one ever sang a song with gmc in the song. even ford is mentioned more in songs then gmc.
