Won't start

Ready to leave for work, this morning, no start

1yo battery, turns strong every time

Have lights, radio, fan, etc

1988 k1500 5.0

No upgrades, this truck is bare bone stock, roll up windows, not even AC

I'm  at work now got ride from friend

Starter??

Turns over but won't start?

Doesn't turn over?

 

No fuel?

No spark?

If it doesnt crank at all I would start with the starter....

Won't turn over

Does not even click

Just nothing

I do hear the fuel pump run, which was replaced about 6 months ago

Here’s a good write-up on testing the starter...

A quick check of the battery cables would be in order, making sure they’re clean and tight on the terminals.

Could just be the shift lever safety switch? Have you tried to pull the shift lever down into N and starting it? The shift levers tend to get a bit of wear after 30 years pretty normal........

Yes, did try starting in neutral, still nothing
