Chrome Mustache Removal

I am planning on taking the air dam off of my truck pretty soon, but I feel like the chrome "mustache" will look very odd hanging on the bottom of the truck without the air dam.  Has anybody removed the chrome mustache or replaced it with something else, and want to share their methods/results?

I tried driving up  a snow hill, broke my mustache, bent the bracket, so i took it all off lol.  Probably not everyones cup of tea.

I definitely prefer the way that looks to the mustache, especially on my truck, which has no chrome anywhere else.  I think I'm going to go for it and pull it off.

I removed mine and built a skid plate to fill the opening.

Took mine off cut it to install my Fisher plow set up. Only thing different I did was take the bottom part of the dam. Cut the mounting ear off drill new holes and mount on the bumper wings.

Check out the “What have you done to your K2 today?” thread last page 972 dirt-rado posted a pic of his truck with a color matched skid plate. Looks pretty good IMO.

I posted the build in the mods section. Most of the pics were from before Photobucket tried their extortion so they may not show up now. Let me know if you need any specific pics and I’ll try to repost them.
