Rear window sun screen

Recommended Posts

I have two children that are still in  rear facing car seats. Sometimes the sun shines in the back window into their faces. Does anyone know of sun screens that will cover the rear window. Factory tint is not dark enough, and not interested in darker tint.  I use something like this on the side windows now.  https://www.amazon.ca/Munchkin-26202-Safety-Sunblock-Shade-Black/dp/B000GB1ZDE

I can’t find one large enough for rear window

I got two sets of these when they were $3. Totally worth it. Covers the entire back and has side window shades.

Ceramic window tint... you'll thank me later.

You dont need dark tint for it to work well, especially with infrared heat,  light is also cut even at 70%(which btw is what your windshield & front side windows are factory). plus it is more clarity than standard/carbon at the same level of light transmission. When sitting now my truck used get about 140-160 degrees with carbon window tint, now today it was 100+ it was only 110 in the truck that's much easier to cool down and keep cool while driving, ceramic worth every penny even the cost of stripping the 2 year old carbon off.

I'm looking for something for the rear window for the same reason but can't find anything. A tip though, I have these for my side windows: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Safe-Fit-Safe-Temp-Cling-Shades-Extra-Large-2-PK-2-0-PACK/44965620. They just cling to the windows and I cut the little temperature thing out allowing full use of the windows. I just have no desire to stick a bunch of them across the rear window.

Perfect timing. Ive been trying to figure out what i might do while our little man is rear facing. I have the side shades, but he does get blasted via the back window.

What this guy said.

I recently got all 7 windows tinted.

Entire windshield 70%.

Front and rear door glass 35%

rear slider window 35%

sunroof 15%

HUGE difference. The glass now heats up and blocks some heat and sun instead of just passing it into the cabin. Hell the AC even works better!

Here’s an example of ceramic tint.
