Everyone is entitled to their own decisions. Besides, that’s how stories are made then put on these forums. My last two Rams were the biggest pc of [emoji90] ever in my car buying history, they just completely fall apart, literally and have the worst crash test of the three.

whens the last time you looked at the ram pricing?  Bc you are way off there.  But it's a lot easier for Ram to work out a rattle than to get around the crap interior GM gave us.

Honestly, if it weren't for how atrocious tundras were on fuel, I would have shopped one of those. For now, my bowtie will do. It functions as it should. I just wish gm would have out the 3.6 twin turbo I to a truck to compete with the 3.5 in the Ford. That caddy motor is a beast.

Its nicer than Fords for sure and a slight upgrade over yours.  
 
I'd recommend sitting in a Ford.  It's not good.  
I find fords ride rougher

I feel like a inline 6 version of the new 2.7l would be the way to go.  I think that would make a really nice setup from waht we know about the 2.7.  Should be cheaper than the 3.6 too.

The high country is a let down for sure, but the mid level to LTZ trucks are very nice.  

 

Why they thought spray painting some trim copper was the Pinnacle of truck luxury is beyond me.  I find the F150 interior to be very cheap and ugly, especially with the oversized bro shifter on the "floor". 

 

Ram has a very nice interior though, ironically you have to keep it Laramie and lower as it gets very gaudy in the Limited and Rebel trims.

I’ve got a Tundra with a 5.7L.  It gets a consistent 15.5 - 16mpg with 85% of that in town driving.  My 2014 Silverado got 17 and spent 85% of the time in the shop getting fixed, lol.  I’ll take the 1mpg hit.

I can’t see driving around with TRD on my truck. Here in Pittsburgh that is pronounced TURD. Just saying.   ?

Not only does the Tundra fall short in terms of towing and hauling, it gets abysmal gas mileage. According to the EPA, the test truck should have returned 15 mpg in combined driving. On the test loop, it got 13.8 mpg, and after a week of driving had mustered no more than 13.5 mpg.

I’ve got real world experience owning both trucks.  So I know my driving habits haven’t changed and it’s literally 1mpg difference between them both.

      From what I gather, you have a 2.7 Diesel  You cannot use Chevron gas in it.  Howes has a diesel add-in and it states it cleans injectors.  Me personally, wouldn't bother with it.  If it's not broke, don't fix it.     Just my two cents worth.

      Looking up on the web you can the information that would seem obvious. You asked engine components to do more. You get more wear. The answer is they can last just as long but required more maintenance. Apparently having to change lifters, cam and associated components are maintenance or repairs. In some research the normal life span of valve train components are 80-100 miles with 3-5K miles oil change. So the next logical conclusion would be cost per mile. I use that analogy with my wife all the time with vehicles. My Odyssey is approaching 170K. The cost per mile will go up at 200K with maintenance. Looking at a low cost car. A K-4 with a 10-10 warranty. Selling my Ridgeline that’s about to hit the same maintenance milestone. My argument becomes not only I get worry free driving. But at no cost increases. Because I take the money from my Ridgeline and maintenance savings and other potential savings. I’m driving for free. So tying it with a bow. It makes you wonder. Is this a grand conspiracy by the auto makers? Raise the potential maintenance high enough. Buyers by extended warranty to 100K miles. Do the minimum maintenance required. Trade in at the warranty end. How long should they last? That question is what keeps people up at night. The answer is much more complicated than it used to be.

      Could you cite your source on this?  I cannot find any reference to the US secretly taking the oil.  I find references that the US helped oil tankers move through the Strait of Hormuz, but nothing about what you're stating.

      Since the media YOU and your buddies are programmed to watch failed to mention this, I'll fill you in.   Trump admitted today that we've grabbed 150 MILLION barrels of oil from the Iranian tankers locked in the Strait by our Navy. We turned off their transponders, took them out to sea in the dark of night since they have zero radar capabilities anymore, offloaded every drop onto another vessel, and put them back by morning so no one was the wiser. That oil has been en-route THROUGHOUT the entire conflict.   Main reason he admitted this is to let even guys on our own side who joined leftists in complaining about the prices that he hears us all, and has taken steps to make sure this didn't spiral into a BAD situation ... just like the mainstream media has been PRAYING would happen, just so they could gloat. Amazes me how these people are rooting for the destruction of THEIR OWN HOME, just to make a President they don't agree with or like look bad!
