Finally above 0 degrees here in Iowa. Car wash was open. So went down last night at 7 pm and spent 2 hours cleaning the truck and the wife’s Acadia. Ugh! Spring can not get here fast enough.

Got the truck back yesterday and they went ahead and resealed the window. Its been raining the last two days and so far so good. Haven't noticed any leaks. I'm hoping this fixes it all but I'll for sure keep checking on it.

Fingers crossed. Hopefully they don’t have to replace it and the reseal does the job. I’m dreading taking it in. Noticed a couple of beads of water one time after a decent rain, but nothing since. Might wait it out if/when it gets worse.

Same here. Hand washed it last night at the car wash to get the heavy stuff off and today at the automatic so the underside got sprayed off. Then a complete wipe down in the garage after. I hate winter and having a dirty truck. I'm hoping it rains tomorrow and the snow is gone.

New to the board. I've had her for about 6 weeks now, coming from a car previously, absolutely loving it.

Plasti dipped the Z71 emblems today. I can't take credit for the black emblems on the tailgate, came that way from the dealership but I would have dipped them today if they hadn't. Next decision is whether to remove the TB sticker, I go back and forth.

Do you have a full side shot of your truck? I wanted to see how the 2” GM lift looks with the stock size tires. I have some stock size ridge grapplers, and I’d like to leave them on for a while if I get the GM lift. I also have a 1” level on right now, and I can’t decide if I want to tell them to leave that on when the install the lift. Thanks!!

Edit: Another option I am considering...get the GM lift and replace the 2” rear block with a 1” block...then when I upgrade tires, go back to the 2” rear block and add the 1” front level.

About 2 weeks ago I posted in this thread about how I scratched my truck up on both sides while offroading because of overgrown bushes. Today I started the process of fixing the damage. I began with the right bed side panel because it's the worst, ie most scratches and most visible scratches. I spent all afternoon sanding the panel to remove the scratches with 3000 grit sandpaper, followed by buffing and polishing the panel to get its shine restored. I'm pleased to report it was a complete success. I need to get the other side done, followed by all doors and both front fenders. I was worried about taking on this project because I had zero experience going on, but I'm very happy with the results.

You got balls to try that with zero experience. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji122][emoji122]

Swapped out the halogen turn signals and reverse bulbs for LED.

Wish all work was that easy!

How have you guys been swapping the blinkers? I am having hell and really don’t want to disassemble the grill.

On a T1 you do not need to remove the grill. There is a cavity on the front left and front right sides of the engine bay, you can reach down with your hand and undo the housing that holds the bulb.

Here's the part that threw me off. I was going after the part way down at the bottom that has the pigtail. Past experience indicates this is where the bulb is located. But, looking at the light it didn't seem to line up with where the bulb actually was. On a leap of faith I went for the knob located approximately where the bulb is in the light. That turned out to be correct. This might be throwing them a curveball, too.
