Sorry if discussed but a month into my new 17 Sierra and can’t figure out how come cargo lights don’t come on when unlocking truck with my FOB.  Is there a setting I am missing in the vehicle menu or how do I make this happen.

Thanks in in advance for any help.

U have to put in a diode connecting the cargo light to your reverse lights. Do a google search and it will tell u how. I’ve done it on 4 different trucks now. Not too hard. Use needle nose pliers.

Need a diode to have your cargo lights follow the reverse lights.

I used a wire instead of a diode. Gives me reverse lights with cargos on and cargos on with reverse lights. Saved my diodes for the fog lights with high beams.

Is it normal for the diode wire to slide into the slot so easily or is it bypassing what it should be connecting to and just going on through? I ask because it went in almost too easy and doesn’t feel like it’s making contact with anything but it is in the slot without resistance (physical not electrical) and seems like it would eventually vibrate out.

But...wait, you could have used a bidirectional diode setup.  Then you could explain the standing wave cancellation using symmetric forced electron induction along the magnetic biosphere grid lines producing equalized photon emission on both upper and lower planes.  :D  Ok, all the BS behind and yes 95% of that was BS that's a great tip    I have to admit I get nervous shunting wire plugs diode or not when I don't have a schematic to follow.

What is the diode for in the gray connector on the left?
