Shortened it down to a 21" from Antenna Source. Came with a required adapter, which increased the height another inch or two, but still did the job. https://www.theantennasource.com/CHEVROLET/SILVERADO PICKUP/Silverado 2014-2019.html
Mbcorry Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 I removed my antenna and was planning to replace it with a stub, turns out, my reception is still perfect without it ??♂️

Trailboss75 Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 I bought this one from Amazon. Works great and all the stations in my area come in great. But I do have to say currently I have Sirius so dont use the antenna much. But I did drive around town and test it out, got it for mainly looks, but it does work great! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MY0NH60/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 1

Still getting all the stations FM & AM. I do live near a major city so that also helps with reception. But I also drive out to the valley a lot where it’s mostly farm land and im still able to get their local stations

This morning while my USB stick was indexing after it lost its mind, I decided to try the FM button. Haven't had my antenna attached for months now. Nope! No good here, but that was expected. slj2008 Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Most truck's are shipped with out the antenna on ( antenna laying in the cab ) , Dealership cleans them up / take Photo's and then they add the antenna , then it ready to sell $$$$$$$
anthony2558 Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I don't like the look of the antenna either, but most of them serve a dual purpose. They let you know when your getting close to scraping your roof, or ripping off that xm shark fin.
