My New 2019 (not the wrong section!)

Nice truck!  I'll have to contribute a thread when I pick up my 2019 LD next week.  Cajun Red All Star with the Z71 Sport Package (think Midnight but on any color truck). 

 

I'm a bit love/hate on T1 right now.  Gotta spend some bucks to get things now on them like Bose, buckets and things that used to be just available that are now "packaged" to raise the price.

Just curious but why not just buy one off the lot? What special equipment are you getting that one on the lot wouldn't have? I'm seeing 2019's at my dealer with up to $14,000 off. Most have at least $10,000 off. They have 158 2019's on the lot now. A couple months ago they only had 30 .
Every truck I've ordered I never got that great of a deal on. Not even close to $10,000 off.

I do like these packages that GM has. I was going to get an all star edition,Silverado but ended up with a Sierra. I got an SLE z71 value package for same price as the Silverado. The Sierra came with factory spray in bed liner, heated seats, trailer brake controller,  universal home garage door opener and led bed lights. Which the Silverado did not have. So not always are GMC's more. And I do like the white stitching around dash.

Mine has all that but the bed lights (not sure on the Homelink, I’ll look tomorrow) Got the dealer to give me the kit though. Just gotta find time to install it.

A lot of that is discounts most of us don’t qualify for. The first dealer I went to broke it down and said to get all of it you needed to be:

 

Current GM owner

recent college grad 

active/retired military 

member of the Realtor association

Standard beds don't move so they don't really order them to put on the lot.  Talked to several dealers and that is what they told me.  So if you want a standard bed you pretty much have to order one.  Like mine, I wanted the max tow and standard bed.  Not easy to find.

Nice! Let us know about the plus and minus going from a midsize diesel to a a full-size gasser.
