This will more then likely blow Skippys mind then because i also have a 2014 a/t which just passed 30,000 miles on the od! Skippy not everyone drives around aimlessly loading miles onto their rides, or choose to work and hour and half away from their home.

Or maybe and i know this is also mind blowing they have more then their truck, it is possible for people even a single person to have multiple automobiles today.

34,000 miles (55,000 km's) is not unreasonable on a '14.  This is about what I have on my '15 and I drive it everyday.  (My wife is about to hit 34K on her '07 Yaris!)  Op you should definitely take your truck to the dealer and try for a warranty claim.  Even if the 5 years are over, you may be able to get some consideration.  I've had a vehicle or two that the warranty "time" component has recently expired and received a significant discount on major repairs.

Worth a try.

I know lots of folks with multiple vehicles...I'm single and have 2 cars, 1 truck and a scooter for puttin around. If I add my girlfriends car that's yet another one LOL

I've literally never heard of this as an issue.

This is becoming a more common problem with ALL DI engines made by most manufacturers as will continue to be as more and more DI engines are being built.

Several threads on this site about this. Google fuel in oil direct injection and/or fuel dilution in direct injection.

In fact any of these articles you read will tell you with DI your going to end up with a small percentage of fuel in the oil usually around 2% of the crankcase volume. It’s why most of these trucks puff black upon start up and have black soot in the tailpipe. Also the main reason I change my oil every 5k and don’t go by the OLM cause I seriously doubt this system takes this into account...

BTW my 015 has 36k on it and since Thanksgiving I’ve drove it a whopping 75 miles...

This is especially true nowadays with multiple cars owned per household...When I traded my '07 F-150 in for my '17 Sierra it only had 90k on it at 10yrs. USDOT says average is a little over 13k/yr. (https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/ohim/onh00/bar8.htm) so the OP is not too far off from "average." What's funny about the data in that link is, apparently when women turn 55 they stop driving lol.

You only have 34,000 miles?! In a 2014?!

Who drives the truck? Your grandmother?

76K miles in a 2009 here, not that it is any of your concern.  But since you are making fun of people on here and bringing family into it, I'll return the favor and say that your mom likes it when I go slow . . . :D

The amount of miles on it means nothing. The amount of miles per trip could. It should be driven enough miles per trip to warm up. I have two old vehicles with low miles no issues with gas in oil. Iv know several old people that drive very little no issues.

This is what i think. Engine never gets warm enough so fuel is running rich (choke mode) to try get motor up to operating temp. I’m not sure there is an issue. Change the oil and drive it.

What made you analyze the oil? I always thought I smelt gas in the oil when changing it on these new LT motors, but everyone on the Forum here thinks I am crazy when I say so. My sniffer is not that great because I smoke and I can still detect it. I wonder if they all are doing it because I noticed on both my LT powered K2's (5.3L and 6.2L) but I do not notice it when I service my 2018 2500, which still uses an LS engine.

I only have 27,000km (16,750mi) on my 2015 6.2L. She is still in hibernation for her third winter.

He said that the oil level is increasing on the dipstick. There is fuel in everybody’s DI engines oil it’s a byproduct of DI should be 2% or less of total crankcase volume.

I have always smelled traces of gasoline in my engine oil across all lines of engines. Even when I empty my catch can I smell gasoline. Normal to smell some IMHO.
