Sounds great! Did they weld or clamp in the the pipe? I'm assuming the muffler delete caused the check engine light to come on?

Sounds good on the start up but I would think its going to make a popping and cracking sound when letting off the throttle going down the road which is going to sound like crap.

No thats a bonus.

Welded.  No check engine light, been running just fine since March 2019, only $50 bucks to boot-

Awesome, thanks for the info! Did you cover/remove the resonator screens? Any drone or issues at high speed (75 mph?)

Sorry for all the questions, I want to do a delete on my truck next week, so I think.

I'm not sure if there was ever a flapper valve, but there's not one there now.  I covered the screens a few weeks later, probably a 15% additional increase in sound - worth it.  I can notice a bit now when the engine kicks down to 6 or 4 cylinders - sounds like a Harley - but since this only happens when coasting, no big deal (I live in a mountainous area - always going up or down hill).  As far as drone - quiet at speed, louder under load.  Some back crackle when decelerating between 20 and 10mph (but I like the crackle).  Have had trucks with aftermarket mufflers in the past with more drone.

Perfect! I have the AFM disabler so I shouldn't have any issues with any real loud popping (I hope). I think I'll leave the screens uncovered at first and see how that sounds, then go from there. Thanks again for the info, gave me some reassurance.

Had the muffler and flapper removed on my 2020 Custom Trail Boss. Love the sound!

I did not do a delete of the muffler but I upgraded to the Cat-Back after I bought it.

Why delete it? Is it "just" for sound or is there any other reason?

? Every time I hear someone say no drone and they have a loud exhaust or chop something off. I have been around cars and the performance world long enough to know that is suspect...

Which is why I recorded a video from inside the cab of my truck as I drove down the road.  ?

My 2018 that is straight piped and resonator removed, absolutely has a drone.  I don't care, but it's there.

The 2019 really doesn't. Not sure why... maybe because there are two pipes rather than one... maybe because they exit out the back bumper rather than out the side... perhaps the cab is much better insulated from outside noise...  Maybe a combination of all 3...  I don't know, I am not an acoustic engineer... but I am driving the truck and recorded a video for the nay-sayers, so it is what it is...

Taping up the screens will give a slight drone.  My advice is to ditch the muffler and flapper, but leave the resonance screens alone, best of both worlds.  Loud when you stomp on it, fairly quiet when you just cruise along...
