The emblem is basically two pieces. The front piece snaps to the back, with the grill in the middle of them. Thus, they sandwich the grill and stay on snugly.

On the LT it does. I'm asking about the LTZ grille. I don't think it surrounds those two vertical slats on the LTZ grille.

I really dont think the Z71 Grille Emblem will fit on the LTZ Grille.

I was very disappointed, as I was going to find an LTZ Grille. But, instead I bought the Z71 Grille Emblem for my LT Z71.

I have never been able to make it work with a LTZ grill. There is one on eBay that will work on a LTZ grill that looks very close to the original, its been so cold up here I haven't put it on yet.

Here are a few pics I have of it close up I remember having to trim the far back piece to get it to sandwich together and snap in place

Unfortunately I bought the incorrect Z71 emblem. I was wondering why everyone was complaining about it being expensive...I thought I had found it for $15. Apparently not. Mine looked like this. It's a quality emblem and even comes with precut double stick tape. Unfortunately there's no way to attach mine without removing the plastic panel under the hood....which I tried to do but quit after I busted up the first two plastic clips. I might just use the adhesive and put it on the tailgate.

I have the RST...if I buy the expensive $60 emblem, will I be able to attach it without removing the plastic panel under the hood?

Man, sorry about that. Yeah, you need the $60-ish one with the two black plastic pieces.

You will NOT have to remove anything under the hood or grill with the right emblem.

I got mine on eBay for $68. Others in this thread have posted links to other sources, as well as good instructions on how to install easily in less than 2 minutes.

I appreciate it but it was only $11.88 on ebay. I think I'm going to stick it on the tailgate for some extra red pop. Thanks though!

Yes, they are threaded on both sides. I had already inserted them for the pic. I can easily remove them and use the double sided adhesive instead.

Thanks for the pics.

What did you mean by the "far back piece?" Is the piece that you trimmed part of the emblem purchased or part of the grille?
