I'll be buying a Mighty Mouse can as soon as they release the new bracket for 2019/2020.

He already has one ready to go.  Just email him and tell him you need the new bracket instead of the old brake booster bracket.

I don’t like that setup. It’s too close to the AC line and charge port IMO. It needs to come out further to give enough clearance to the other parts around it so you can still get to everything.

So we just use this catch can:

https://www.mightymousesolutions.com/product-page/gen-v-truck-mild

And then email him and tell him I need the new bracket for the 2019, right.

Thanks for letting me know.  Like I said I emailed a couple weeks ago, a d they were still working on fabing one.

Yep.  Send him an email and he will send you a PayPal invoice for the correct kit for a 2019.  It isn't on the site yet.

Thanks all

I have a JLT Performance 3086D-B on its way from summit.

My main concern was if say I had a catastrophic failure and had to be towed into a dealer ship for warranty work. Those people aren't always very intelligent. Once had a bendix gear stuck in the ring gear when i tried to crank a car (under warranty). Had it towed in and the service writer told me the engine was seized.

I keep the factory hoses in the truck for warranty work.  Oil cap, PVC hose with two hose clamps for CAI, and the DR side quick connect hose.

You nailed it. Catch cans are a joke and people buy them thinking they work. Can sweats with oil residue inside means murky water at the bottom people say Hey it must be working company that sells them say hehehe yeah they work buy another one for your other car.

My 2018 has a catch can, and it collects several ounces of dirty oil every 1,000 miles.

I pulled it off the other day and looked inside the hose that goes from the oil catch can, back into the manifold... that's the line under vacuum.  The inside of the hose was bone dry.  Not hardly a trace of oil.

My catch can, which is a $30 Amazon special, has a filter inside the can, mounted to the inlet coming from the crank case.  That inner cylinder unscrews from the lid of the can, and I stuffed it full of super fine steel wool.  The hot oily air has to pass through that, which forces the oil droplets to condense and forms inside that steel wool, and slowly drip out the bottom into the can.

While I haven't taken a bore camera down into the valves to inspect them, there are solid amounts of oil going into the can, and next to nothing going out, judging by how clean and dry the vacuum line is...

It's not fancy, but it works...

That inner baffle... stuff it with steel wool.  That way the oil isn't atomized and sucked right back into the manifold... it sorta forces the oil droplets to form and fall out into the can.

I was skeptical, but for less than $30 figured why not try it out...  Catches a good amount of oil and I can't find any real evidence of oil in the return line... If I had to guess, I would say it's removing at least 95% of the oil...

Takes 5 minutes to remove it and put the OEM line back in for trips to the dealer...   But like others have said, it's just a filter on the existing line.  Kinda hard to claim that it would cause any issue for warranty reasons...

Had a conversation with a GM dealer about it as my Previous 2018 Yukon had rough idle. I wanted to ask if they recommend anything against intake valve build up. Story on this is basic, they will void power train warranty immediately via GM If they see a can, then good luck taking to litigation on Magnuson Moss basis at your own dime, people misunderstand the law, this law is basically dead now, but even if it had power you as an owner are responsible for proving that your catch can did not cause engine power train issue. To prove on your own dime again you need to hire independent accredited expert to prove it vs. GM putting an army of engineers. GM engines are calculated to last up to 60K miles without catastrophic warranty issues, those minor issues with rough idle, etc. they dismiss as “within spec” until you are out of warranty and then serve you a bill that you need major repair urgently.
How to check - call your catch can manufacturer, SEMA, FTC and ask them to take your case to court for you on their dime initially on hope of winning the case. Nobody will support the owner when warranty is cancelled by GM. As GM customer service once told me when I was trying to get idle issue fixed, try the court and our lawyers will drown you in the paperwork, they have proven power of their lawyers in the Arbitration process via BBB. So morale is - Magnuson Moss is dead for catch can case.
