DO they have heat function and did you get the lights to work ?

I bought the harness and the dealer is telling me the adjustable glass and heat work but, no lights  or did they not change the harness out ?

my truck came with heat and adjust but, like I said I bought the wiring harnesses ?

Thanks

Thought I’d post this here since this thread seems appropriate.  I have a 2020 AT4, fully loaded and it came with the trailering mirrors.  The thing is, I’d rather have the non-trailering mirrors because I don’t do a lot of towing and the blind spot mentioned above is bothersome for me.  I checked with the dealership but there’s no easy way to order the other mirrors because I’d need the standard harness rather than the trailering mirror harness.  So I’m looking to trade with someone.  No extra cost, just even swap.  Mine have the chrome caps, power fold, puddle lights, etc just as described above.  I’d want the “fully loaded” smaller mirrors in return, including the harness to make them work.  Anyone interested?
BTW thanks for this post, will be very helpful if I’m able to find someone willing to swap.

Do your tow mirrors have the 360 cameras?

Yes, they do.  The cameras are on the base that attached to the truck and my truck has the 360 view.  I've been asking around trying to find out if they're plug n play with the smaller mirrors that have all the same features.  It looks like they are plug n play but might possibly require reprogramming.  I'm getting conflicting info on this, waiting on my dealer to find out from GMC.

Received this Email stating Harness in stock.  My truck is currently at the dealer getting Tow Mirrors & wheels installed as part of our deal. The dealer ordered New Harnesses and had them in about a week, I will let everyone know what does and doesn't work. Stock mirrors had Heat and power adjust

My 2020 AT4 came w/ the tow mirrors factory installed, I can't imagine the truck without them.  I do tow, but even if I did not, love the extra glass for visibility.  They are noticeably wider than the tow mirrors on my old 2015 HD 2500.

My 2020 AT4 has the towing mirrors. I have a love hate relationship with them

Love them for towing. Hate them for everything else

Is there a way to replace the chrome with black?

Dealer just called and said even with the replacement harness the truck itself does not have the pins into the BCM from the truck.

They ordered

Driver side 84622371

Passenger side 84622372

Their HAS to be a way to get directional and markers to work ?

Looking for some help.

TNAT4 and I are trying to figure out of we can do a mirror swap without any modifications. My mirrors are off a late build (07/19)  2019 High Country 1500. They are heated, power adjust, puddle light, power fold, blind spot monitoring, and they have the side cameras. His truck is a 2020 AT4 with all the same features in a tow mirror. He has the heated, power fold, blind spot monitoring, 360 camera, puddle light. Only feature his tow mirrors have in addition is the LED backup light in the mirror

Yes - your swap situation should work. Both trucks are top-tier trucks with all the features on both mirrors (minus the LED lights which regular mirrors don't have.) So all the circuits are going to be there.

I would suggest each of you take pictures of the pins in your mirrors when you remove them, to make sure they match up - minus one for the LED backup circuit.

TNAT4 and i have contacted dealers and they have given us mixed feedback. a few say yes it will work and most say know but my intuition tells me if they have the same features it should be plug and play (minus the fact that I probably wont have the backup LED work on my truck after the swap) also we have a minor concern with the cameras because on the tow mirrors the camera is further out on the mirror than on the set of the high country (couple inches different. we are not sure if this would cause some sort of calibration error with the camera system on the trucks)

That's a good point. I didn't think about the camera height. But I actually thought they (the camera lens) are at the same height on both mirrors, mounted on the actual mount of the mirror, and not the arm??

On the high country (non tom mirrors) the camera is further out on the mirror on the part that folds. on the tow mirrors the camera is on the fixed portion of the mirror kinda near where it bots to the body

Good to know. Well then I would say it might not be a perfect match. I'm betting the best case scenario would be the surround vision "looks different" than it did - and worst case it doesn't work.

    • Not sure about DFM tech but i know there's a stop/start deactivation button.
    • I could be interested if they axed cylinder deactivation and at least have a button for stop start. I’m sure the HP numbers will be higher. I would want a longer warranty to help build confidence. I’m a less is more guy as I get older. A V-8 work truck model would be my choice. I know a few outfitters for custom additions I prefer.
    • It's official. GMC pulled the covers off the next-gen 2027 Sierra 1500, and we got the first official look. Full breakdown here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/next-gen-2027-gmc-sierra-1500-v8-trim-changes/   The quick hits: SLE and SLT are dead. The new core retail trim is just called "Elevation". Two new V8s, a 5.7L and a 6.6L built with high-performance Corvette architecture roots. No horsepower or torque numbers yet. The 2.7 TurboMax finally ditches the old gearbox and gets the 10-speed automatic. AT4X moves to larger standard 35-inch tires with front and rear e-lockers, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and heavy-duty Jounce Control Dampers. Over 60 inches of combined display on Denali Ultimate and AT4X, complete with a motorized articulating center screen and an adaptive passenger screen. Seven simplified trims across the entire model line to clean up ordering confusion.   So let's get into it: New 5.7L and 6.6L gas V8s with custom active exhaust tuning and a Corvette connection. Is this the exact engine lineup half-ton traditionalists have been begging for? Purging the iconic SLE and SLT names after all these years to lean entirely on Elevation as the high-volume core. Bold move, or a mistake? That motorized articulating 16.3-inch screen that slides up to reveal a hidden dashboard vault. Awesome mechanical theater, or does it make you nervous about long-term durability? Physically lowering the headlamps in the front fascia to improve road courtesy and stop blinding oncoming traffic. Smart real-world engineering, or does it hurt the truck's aggressive stance? What trim are you putting your name down for on day one? Drop your first impressions below.
    • My overnight hospital stay turned into five.  I developed a post operative fever and an erratic  heart rate.  A blood clot in the lungs was the culprit.  This is apparently a common post surgical complication and easily remedied.   I was the youngest in a four bed ward and a Doctor with a Geriatric specialization was in charge of my care.  All of the nurses were good and some were outstanding at dealing with old people.  It was very evident that my age triggered a different level of care!  My advice to any senior going for a hospital stay is to have a trusted family member advocate visible.  If not, you will still be well cared for, but you may discover that your voice  isn't as strong as it once was!
