Dealer sent me this photo today, getting her all washed up and ready for Friday! Looks like they finally "caved" after me b*tching about them spending 5 minutes to install the black bow tie for me on an $80k truck

Checked my flight too, still not cancelled. Two more days guys!

@XY74 I know! the ACTUAL truck, not just some generic photo.

@Dunn Oh yeah I definitely will haha, we already have exact pricing agreed on so I'll know if it's a penny off. However, I did say I'll pay for the emblem itself, just not for install. My 1500 had a black emblem is well. 99.9% sure it's not standard on any of them though, it's an add-on option.

Yeah for sure, I'm not going to take a week or anything to drive back but will take Friday-Sunday to drive back and break it up as much as possible during that time period.

I love a road trip after picking up a new ride. A few years back I flew to LA to pick up a very slightly used convertible S4 cream puff and then drove it straight to Tahoe for a ridiculous bachelor party. And then drive it back through Reno and through Lassen Forest on up to I-5 in the dead of winter. I was heading up through Lassen Forest at 4 in the morning in this bizarre fog cover about 20 feet off the ground (but with perfect line-of-sight visibility). And with the top down and the heater blasting when it was 8 degrees out driving at go-straight-to-jail-if-caught speeds. I was thinking the whole time that life doesn't get much better. Enjoy the ride.

Haha yeah been there for sure! Well the road trip and going fast part, it all of that with a bachelor party all at once haha.
Definitely sounds like one of those fun moments you look back on happy that it’s still a fun moment
