I have the GMPP exhaust. Sounds great in the day-to-day driving, but is a bit loud under heavy load. Pulling something that big might get annoying.

I have the intake and exhaust on mine. Just drove 1800 miles with it from Virginia Beach, VA to San Antonio, TX. The exhaust didn't bother me one bit. I took I-40 all the way across Tennessee.

I went from a 2014 z71 gmc with 5.3 to a 2019 6.2 4x4 max two Chevy. Their is no comparison in power.  This one is a beast. With my 6k lb trailer I can pass people with ease.  The 5.3 with the 3.42 6 speed would just groan.  Towing in hills is where the 10 speed shines. You rarely hear the engine rev.  I do wish fuel economy was a little better while towing.  I'm starting to get around 10 but was doing 8 for the longest time.  I added airlift bags to the back and it handles very smooth.

Pretty much my same experience.  I'll never own another 5.3 as long as I tow.

Bringing back an old post...apologies.

I see there were people on here that have this package, so looking for some assistance from anyone w/ a 2020 w/the NHT package (I think a 2021 would be the same...).  Can you please tell me the PN of the rear spring and rear shock?  It should be listed right on the spring and shock with a label I believe...

Thanks in advance

I implore you to go to that site and actually find what I'm looking for.  That site doesn't even list any leaf springs.

I looked for over an hour last night, and could not find an answer for what I wanted - thus why I asked here.  The GM parts sites list a lot of "option codes" that do not correlate to the RPO codes.

I did look and found the shocks.  They do not list the leaf springs, for those I go to GMPartsDirect and or GMPartsGiant.  Easier to find with a VIN but not always.

I'll give it a look but need to know if you are looking for RWD, 4x4, Double Cab, Crew Cab, Short Bed, Regular, Long, etc.

None of the shocks or springs are listed for the NHT package, or as they call it, the Enhanced Towing Package.  I found two trucks online that had the NHT package, used their VIN numbers, and it stiill showed "everything" - multiple options for springs, and multiple options for shocks.

...thus asking someone to look at their truck for me.

I found 3 different rear shocks for a 2020 GMC Sierra with the NHT package on ACDelco's website.

I did the same thing you're doing a couple of years ago with my NHT.  Does your truck have a spring pack consisting of a total of 3 springs?  NHTs have 4.

221849HD is the Dayton part number.  My eyeballs have done all they could on this today, will have to rest them and try again later.

Shocks:

4x4 - 84458380

RWD - 84657762

4x4 - 84805970

The one shock shows w/o enhanced towing (which is NHT, I believe), and the other two don't specifically say (thus why I'm weary of buying_.  With the springs, thanks for the info on those - gives me something to run with.  Appreciate it

On my screen they all say it on the ACDelco website using a desktop PC.  Confirmed those three also at GMPartsGiant as well.

Well, this gives you a starting point until someone with one chimes in.  You might have to search them out and send a private message.

I'm seeing it on the Delco site only.  Thanks.  Definitely gives me a starting point!

Check your inbox.  I can even do you one better.  If you live in California and want to come pick up the rear leafs and shocks, they're sitting in a box in my garage.

    • And to top it off finally.......................these small GM LS engines are designed to SPIN!!!!!  Why choke them down to just off idle for cruising.  Why/how the "bean counters" have influenced the "engineering department" at GM is beyond me.   They took a solid platform of an engine and turned into a joke in OEM form!!!
    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
