That is what I am talking about!  3.0 baby their is your 7 mains Grumps!  I could pop the hood on a K2 4.3l ,5.3l, 6.2l and stare at em all day and probably would eventually figure out that one was a v6?  The others nope and don't even care.  I think Auto Express window up/down is annoying and troublesome why somebody would allow the feature.  I think Blacked out anything is for retards?  I sniffed around the T1's opened the door "chuckled" at what I saw.  Grabbed the "A" pillar grab handle and CONFIRMATION it's cheaper than it looks....But wait there is more!  I proceeded to slap my cheeks down on the leather and "LIGHT BULB" more horrible than a 65 Vette they beat the worst possible seating arrangement on Planet EARTH.  I digress......then I remembered I buy GM for Engines/Transmissions....Cool, they did me right by putting 1pc integral cast aluminium oil pans puts a smile on my face.

Now, Must find a way to stuff 3.0 with 10speed into my K2

Mook you ever notice that the harder the OEM's try the worse it gets? I think that is intended. Operating cost for a diesel are not what they use to be. Higher fuel cost and now DEF. Everytime the OEM's find a major up tick in fuel efficiency they jack up the cost so that they get to keep 150% of any savings you should have got over it's lifetime for themselves. Pitiful.

So I find a donor and drop it and Pepper and my life savings off at Banks Performance. He calls Chip Foose and Jesse James and let them stir the pot.

And I've never replaced a power window regulator/motor.

I have. A few. Door lock actuators too. But....I'm happy for you. My Buick once flipped a bit and locked me out :) Explain that one to the cop who jimmies your door open that the key in your hand for this car is for this car. ?

I’ve decided, if I start having problems with my 2018, I’m not buying a Raptor, I’m buying a used LandCruiser and modifying it. These new vehicles are all garbage, over priced electronic failures. There’s not one person that I know with a brand new vehicle that doesn’t have any issues.

Put a dinner plate out the window at 70 mph and frontal area increases, even small ones should not need any further explanation. The back side of a 1960 mirror consumes 5 hp at 100 mph. C&D test back in the day. Just a piece of trivia that runs around in my head. Oh, want a real wake up? Sit up on a bike at 130 mph...no don't....just imagine it.

Hey Grumpy,

I had a motorcycle going 125 mph. If I sat up the front wheel would come up just enough to lose solid contact with the road surface. I could feel the difference in the handle bars.

You can do a lot of repairs for the price of a Land Cruiser.

Somewhat true.  Lots have issues going back years.   So you're referring brand new going back how far? My first new truck a 1985 loaded Silverado I was 21 paid $12.5k.  Was in shop several times.  No computer, electronics or EFI.  I've had many new GM trucks from there on and all had some issues.  My wife's 2018 Buick SUV was purchased brand and as of today, no recalls or issues of any kind.  Zero.  Her 2 previous (different brands) had issues.   My 2015 SLT had to have the rear end changed after new pinion gears and still a whine. My 2016 LT had the shakes.  Knock on wood my '19 has been issue free for 18 months.  No shake, no leaks, no electronic BCM issues or other issues I've seen posted here.  Mine has been in for a recall that wasn't giving issues.  Got that resolved on my first oil change.  Other members have had a trouble free T1.   Yes, other members have issues.  I'm fortunate I haven't had any problems and I really feel for those who do.  Especially paying that kind of money.  What gets me is when someone has a problem and brings it to the dealer and the service mgr. or advisor says "that's normal".  What B.S.  Really? Same old song and dance from service dept.'s.  Ok sir/mam, if it's normal lets go try 10 other new trucks on the lot and if they all do it then it's normal.  Thousands had the shake problem with the K2.  GM didn't have the fix and were grasping at straws for a remedy.  Few got fixed and shops were becoming inundated with the problem so GM engineers say lets just label it as "it's normal".   A truck shaking like crazy at 70mph is normal.  It's normal"  is their easy way out.

Agreed. I went through the shake with my 2016 Sierra. Dealership had it for over 2 months. Brought up technician from Texas to try and figure it out. Couldn’t. Told them I wasn’t happy with a$50k shaking truck.  Bought it back and I got a 17.  It was perfect. Never had an issue.

That’s the point, ALL new trucks are a crap shoot, the new T1’s have had lots of issues as ALL newly introduced motors and transmissions do, requiring guinea pigs to report back on issues. GM as well as ALL manufacturers know of issues prior to releasing and yet go right ahead and release vehicles that they’ve known to have problems, it’s all about the marketing and greed. My 14 LTZ was by far the biggest POS I’ve ever owned, my 16 DMAX had constant steering box issues, my lifted 18 SLT 6.2 has had a couple transmission issues but quickly resolved. I’ve always said that my replacement vehicle, in the event this 18 starts giving me problems will be a new Raptor but two of my buddies have been having turbo issues with their eco boosts. The best and absolutely problem free vehicle I’ve ever owned has been my Land Cruiser, lifted, major upgrades to it with ZERO issues, I was a fool to sell it but who would’ve known the POS’s coming out into the market today. I’ll be going back to a LandCruiser as my next vehicle, used one but with very low miles and with no extended warranty required [emoji6]

Trying to remember where I heard this GREAT phrase spoken at a recent political rally.

Quote: "WE Choose Truth over Facts" I will have to google that I guess......

On a brighter note,

Dodge has upped the competition on excess power and capabilities. Please be very careful with this info, if you expose a New Green Deal supporter, they may experience heart palpitations.

i think the old Raptors with the big v8's where most desirable.  the turbo v6 models are lease and burn trash.  new landcruises are just as bad,  lots of electrical glitches on those..

better off restoring an old truck or SUV pre-drive by wire

Reliability is so boring.

Even more so is constant visits to warranty repairs
