I’m overly excited. I just traded in my 19 RST 5.3 for an RST Duramax. Oh man is this thing fantastic ! The 10 speed is amazing and the power and fuel economy on the Duramax so far are way better than expected !

will do a bunch of comparisons to the 5.3 in the future but for now, I’m loving this truck even mire than the other !!!

Enjoy! Yes been enjoying mine as well. I only have about 3K miles seeing I’m working from home. Wait till you tow with it. Lots of torque where it’s useful.

Did my first road trip and had a section of road were I ended up hypermiling for about 30 miles.  Road had a very slight downhill, followed another vehicle and never went above 55 mph, more so because the road was narrow and had too many curves to speed or pass.  Once the DIC started to show 35 mpg I started laughing and kept laughing as it continued to climb.  Don't think I'll be returning to a gas motor for awhile.

@Grey3liter4x4 that’s fantastic. Driving And towing with this truck is like a game to me now and makes the distance go by so much quicker. I just play around with seeing what fuel mileage I can achieve at different speeds. I’m just beyond impressed.

Couple weeks ago the 25-mile trip on DIC was showing 19.7 mpg towing 6k lb trailer & gear at 60mph. Old trucks I’ve had I don’t know if I got that unloaded ?

I hear you, highway driving is really like a game.  To watch the mileage average climb above 30 mpg on most long distance drives is something.  I've never liked are been interested in GM products.  After doing as much research and reading on the new 3 liter Duramax as I could I'm more than pleased on my choice!  Yes the interior isn't super slick but that has never been a buying point for me anyway.  The best mileage I ever got on my Tundra was 18 mpg and I don't miss it one bit or the small gas tank.

My 300 mile review - LOL

I absolutely love this truck !

Today I installed the rear fender liners and on wednesday it goes in for the spray in bedliner.

Mid october I will be towing and cannot wait to see how it does compared to the 19 5.3 I had !
