Curious how many people are waiting for or planning on buying a 2022?

I'm not sure if I'm buying a 21 or 22. I hope to see more of the revisions soon.

Probably won't see the new dash till next year when the autoshow season starts up again.

having similar debate...truck got totaled from natural disaster 6 months ago and have kept pushing off a new purchase due to the WFH situation and high truck prices. Now that ive waited this long would prefer to wait for new interior - might just get something simple to get me through to 2022 model

You’ll kick yourself and/or have to trade it in after a year if you don’t wait. Especially if you’re looking at a higher trimmed model.

Definitely wouldn't trade if I buy a 21, but I can definitely see kicking myself, hence the hesitation. I hope the speculation of late spring/early summer release comes through, but I'll believe that when I see it.

I had the same debate and ended up with a 20 while my trade value was high. The new interior on the Tahoe is nice but not particularly nicer than my truck, in my opinion. The layout looks nice but the materials are largely the same. Plus it looks like they may be adopting the push button gear shifts and I'm not a fan. I have no regrets.

For background I've owned numerous GM, Ford and Ram/dodge trucks in the past. I ordered a 2021 Sierra CCSB Slt premium plus last week. I sat in a new Tahoe with the new dash. It's OK but kind of reminds me of an import car/suv with that screen sticking up, so I'm not a fan of the dash - JMHO. I also really like the column shifter. I don't think I will regret getting a 2021 based on the dash change for 22 alone. I also have a 2018 F150 Platnium that will be out of warranty in the next few months, so that is a big reason for making the decision now. I have had a lot of problems with the Ford and don't want to get stuck with it out of warranty. I do like the Ram interior, but not a fan of the exterior looks. Also not thrilled with the new f150, plus given the issues I've had with my current Ford I just need a change. Time will tell I guess.

The trucks are not getting the SUV interior, FWIW. Too much of that interior is NOT tailored to truck buyers, including the push/pull button shifter.

On the reel - Thanks for the info on the the future interiors

I know the reviews slam the current dash and interior. Honestly My 18 Platinum is nice, but in my opinion it isn't any nicer than a current t1 equivalent (slt ot ltz) interior. The Ford center stack is mostly plastic and the fit and finish of it isn't stellar by any means.

I'd wait for the 22 model year just to see what the new front end and body upgrades are going to look like. Really hard to tell right now with just the spy shots.
