On my 2015 Silverado Crew Cab 2WD, I currently have the RC 2.5 inch spacer leveling kit with all stock shocks. I am wanting to replace all 4 shocks with Bilstein 5100s. Does anyone have experience combining these shocks with the spacers from RC? I would also like a little more ground clearance. Nothing too crazy, just a little more aggressive look than the stock 2WD height with a leveling kit. Trying to decide if I take the spacers out and go with the RC 3.5 inch suspension lift with upper control arms, remove the spacers and go with Bilstein 5100 on the highest setting all around, or simply replace all shocks with 5100 and keep the spacers up front. Just trying to figure out what will get me the look I want and also be the most mechanically sound so I don't cause any weird issues with ball joints, etc. Any help would be awesome.
Hi everyone, new to the forum here and haven't seem to be able to find an answer after searching.
Purchased a 2020 1500 AT4 last summer(love the truck), and recently added the Firestone Ride-Rite kit to the rear(kit #2609). I also ordered the 2" spacer kit as recommended (kit #2366).
I'm having a bit of a problem with the install and was wondering if anyone else has added rear air bags to their AT4, and did you end up using the spacer or were you fine without it?
Problem is the air bags are slightly misaligned, and appear "under-inflated" with the spacer in there even when I have 10-20psi in them(there is about 500lbs in/on the box via a canopy and a Decked box system installed in the bed; I'd rather not have to try and remove these unless I absolutely need to, to diagnose the problem).
I know in the instructions it says to have 5.5-6.5" of space between the upper and lower mounts. So my next plan is to jack up the back of the truck enough via the hitch receiver to recreate the correct factory fender gap front to back(should be roughly 1.5" from the factory with no load if I'm no mistaken?), and then measure the distance between the new mounts.
Thoughts and/or someone who has added rear airbags to their AT4? I'd assume the Trail Boss would be very similar?
Hello, I've done quite a bit of searching on this topic and can't really seem to find a fix. Was wondering if anyone could help me out here as it's starting to get annoying. In my 2014 Chevy Silverado, my options to connect a new phone to bluetooth are greyed out. It doesn't let me click it at all. Another thing that is maybe just coincidence is my onstar seems to not be working either. There is a red light instead of a green one on my rear view mirror. Every now and then it'll go green for 2-3 seconds, and then turn to red. Not sure if this has anything to do with the bluetooth.
The troubleshooting I have done is:
Taken the radio out, cleaned the plugs, refitted them and reattached the radio; Nothing.
Fooled with the wire behind my rear view mirror to see if it's a bad connection of some sort; Nothing.
Tried to pair my phone through voice and any other work around; Nothing.
Removed all previous devices, and still nothing.
Im kind of at loss here, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Got into my 2014 Silverado to find about a cup of water pooled on the floor mat with some also on the e-break pedal. Couldn't see a source look up behind the dash. Dried it out in the garage overnight and went back this morning to run a hose over it for about 15 minutes. After about fifteen minutes of consistent water over the windshield, windshield seal, door seals, and shark fin - I didn't see any water behind the dash (looked up and through fuse panel). About two hours later I found the water you see in the photos on imagur. In the much more level garage the water seemed to be leaking more to the right of the e-break just below that blue wiring harness. Still didn't see any water looking up in the dash.
