Won't, can't work. I guess you didn't read the thread?

Understanding the factory module won't work without expensive reprogramming ..Does anyone know of a trailer break that "looks" OEM that can be retrofitted instead?

I have a 2014 with the change cubby and I would be willing to order the GM dash piece if someone happens to know of a "OEM-ish" trailer break that works. Sure, their great aftermarket ones but I would like to see one that 'appears factory'. I'm sure someone has designed one and can point anyone reading this thread in the same boat in the right direction.

What about Redarc? They have a knob type brake controller and you can buy one of their dash mounts which will make it look factory. They also have dedicated harnesses that will make it basically plug and play. I will admit I haven't used them before, I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 that I mounted to knee panel under the steering wheel. It doesn't look factory but also doesn't look too bad IMHO.

Funny you should ask.

I wanted the factory look and didn't want to destroy the dash doing it.

I installed the RedArc - and it fit in perfectly.

Here are a few install pics

If it were me I would cover up the cubby hole and make any of those aftermarket ones mount in that spot to look more factory like.
