GM finally wised up and decided to get rid of the hard plastic dash! that was the deciding factor for my wife when we got her SRX. that and we don't need a 3rd row yet. if only they can do that in more escalade trims and the other denali vehicles!

No, the glass does not open separate from the hatch

why would you want that? its easier to load things with the hatch fully open, and they open/close automatically with the push of a button. no lifting or pulling like on older SUVs.

They all had this feature at one time. Short trip to lumber yard for a few boards that don't fit inside with rear hatch closed. Comes in mighty handy. Looks like the only ones left with this feature are the Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute.

 

Not everyone has access to a pickup truck at all times. Another neat feature gone to the cutting boards by the bean counters.

They definitely made the Acadia more boxier with a front grill more like a truck than a SUV. After all it looks nice but with mix feelings about the front grill.

Front end is hideous. It looks almost as bad as the ugly Terrain.

I really like the look of the Denali version!! And I LOVE The look of that All Terrain truck!!! Ooooh, baby....
