I delivered rural in my 12 Sierra 4X4. Very comfortable ride. Had it only about 1 month. Runs like a chanp!

Had to go to the local airport. Went through town to get there & the highway to get home. It was a good stretch of miles. It's probably mental but I swear the truck is riding (drive line) so much better with the new transfer case. Not nearly as much clunking & clanging from below.

On and thanks SnakeEyes, I need to clean my K&N as well. Been at least one truck ago...lol

I gave up on K&N filters wear out after a while. P.i.t.a. getting air flow codes when pulling. Causes truck to go into reduced power mode.

That usually only happens when they are over oiled from what I understand. And you can use CRC MAF sensor cleaner. I use it a few weeks after a filter cleaning just in case. Had a K&N on every vehicle I have owned and never had a problem.

I've never had one on my pickup, but have seen plenty in action, it seems the eventually the filter material gets "matted". My pickup spends enough time on dirt that I'd never consider one. I'm very happy with the oil free synthetic filter.

Well when it's get changed out with another filter fault goes away. Put that filter in another truck that truck gets fault. It the filter. They only last so long.

I stopped running those because I got tired of the cleaning/oiling procedure. The one I had in the truck was fine. Later in it's life I put one of those prefilter socks over it. Eventually sold it on eBay with about 40k on it, and replaced it with an Amsoil air filter. They're being phased out, so I bought a stockpile of 4 - that should last me until some catastrophic failure, I figure.

I noticed that K&N's let a bit of grit past them - I always see it in the intake of ATV's, motorcycles, and also in my truck. That extra horsepower from a freer flowing filter has a trade-off ...

Yep. Did a K&N once before I knew better. No more. I'll stick with OE style filters.

Right before you turn over take a pic of the odometer and tweet at GM. Maybe you'll get a free truck out of it. A 60k truck to replace a million miler is cheap viral advertisement.
