This one doesn't have the rear vents either, except the ones under the seat. My old truck had the center counsel so it had the vents built into them.

Yeah that's how my 02 was as well, luckily my passengers don't bitch lol

I remember getting into the 1999 when my parents first bought it, and being impress with the rear vents and all the other features it had. It was my parents first pickup too.

Do the rear vents work on all settings or only on the floor setting? I usually roll around with the heat on the windshield because I don't like heating blowing in my face, so would the rear seat passengers be getting any heat on defrost setting?

I've only checked mine between the floor, and dash setting. Mine only work when I have the airflow set to come out of the dash vents.

Got my axle shaft (driver's side) replaced last night. I had no luck getting the flange out to replace the axle seal so I'll have to tackle that another day. Now the truck rolls a lot quieter especially in 4wd. No more clicking. The new shaft where it mounts to the flange was a different design compared to factory but bolted right up without any issues. I was so glad it came with a new axle nut that included the washer. Just a pain to torque it down but all went pretty slick. Next up is the rear shocks.

Monroe OE Spectrum Light Truck. When I first bought the truck I HAD to replace the front since they were toast and I am pretty happy with them so I figured to give them a shot for the rear too. I would of liked to get the Monroe Load Adjusting shock but they're pretty pricy and don't think I need all that.

I finally drove her since last Wednesday and as a gift she had two pretty bad fuel leaks from the fuel pressure regulator. The first was when I first started her this morning which I was slow to notice so a ton of fuel was lost. I then began to drive out of the complex and she was leaking again!

After that I managed to make it to work but I think I'm going to buy a new FPR since this one might be bad, or at least the O ring is.

I can't imagine why GM thought that this FPR design was logically sound.

I find myself asking that question about hundreds of different GM designs ...

Yes but this is potentially a safety risk with the fuel leaking directly onto the headers and other hot parts, along with the general mess that it makes. It's pretty aggravating.

I drove mine to visit my Fiancé at her internship. Thinking of calling a guy about putting a tint strip on the windshield.

Changed my drivers side light bulb. Surprisingly not bad at all. Had to remove the washer bottle fluid bolt so I could get my hand in there.

Ordered my new rear shocks from Advance, they're "suppose" to be here tomorrow. Also stopped by local salvage yard...again...this time I found the driver's door courtesy light/reflector housing. $10, works for me as I priced them out at $40 online. The housing was missing when I bought the truck...surprise, surprise.
