Got black window trim here. Got it out of the box. Discovered I can use electrical tape to simulate the black window trim. Got electrical tape on there.

Within 5 seconds of getting it on there, it became glaringly apparent that I did NOT like it at all, compared to what I would've thought. Turns out the feeling I had before ordering them was a premonition.

DAMNIT.

I think I saw a GMC with ust the chrome window trim, and that looked goofy. The trim with the door handles and door trim actually looks great, and I was biased against it. As I got used to it, well, I came to like it. Oh well.

That will be going back. Got several parts from this dealer, so it goes without saying that they will be sending me a new METAL skidplate come time (and funds).

Gotta get my tailgate handle painted.

Drove up to Gillette to ride out to South Dakota to go fish with my brothers and dad. Got 23.2 mpg on the way up, mixed interstate and highway driving.

On the way back, I decided to drive old speed limits due to the damn deer that frequent the ditches. Wyoming boosted interstate speed limits to 80 (and highway to 70), so I went 75 and 65, respectively. No problem, as I was one of the few drivers out at the time.

Hot damn.

I was going to ditch the AFM as soon as I got out of warranty, but when I can get 3 mpg over rated numbers (and that is on normal premium, can't wait to try ethanol free), I think it can stay.

Darn double post. Internet went down.

Found a local body shop I want to paint my tailgate handle. Should I take anything off, or will they be able to handle everything?

They do that stuff day in and day out. They should be able to get it out of there pretty quick, although I have trust issues when it comes to stuff like that. If it were mine, I'd probably remove the part that was to be painted. Should save on labor too.

Well I got over my grudge somewhat towards my truck I took a Jerry can of gas a new battery out to death row and brought my 13 into town cleaned it all up washed and decided to sell it. What is give to rip it apart with a trackhoe But that's not practical now that I calmed down it makes more sense selling. One thing I'll miss is listening to that massive cold air inhaling with the 3 inch dual straight pipes exhale I will say this truck sounds amazing. I listed it for $22 800 hopefully it sells only has 61 000km.

I tried selling mine 4 years ago when it only had 50k on it. I couldn't give it away! Everyone knows about the AFM / oil burner issues with my generation now. I had people offering $13k at the time. Made the decision to keep the thing, and just run it right into the ground.

Not long after I took the ad down, the upper ball joints and hub bearings failed. Gotta love it!

All that smack talk about not ever plaguing someone else... And then you put it up for average market value on Kijiji... Should have just traded it in on the Yota.....

Used mine to move some things into my new apartment, and then used it to load up cardboard and a few other things to burn.
