After having the same size bed as yours my 2015 "standard" some seems huge.
I used the tool box and I could haul 16' lumber by leaving the tailgate closed and wedging the lumber under it. I also bought a bed extender from harbor freight.

Being in construction I know better then to buy my 2011 crew cab but having a couple kids and the allure of the 6.2l pushed me that way. It was totally worth it too.

My truck stayed parked this time -  had the lumber delivered. :)

New shop is finally coming together! Floor pour, and 10k lb. lift install is next. Been dreaming of this day for almost 3 decades.

Inside foundation dimensions are 29'x25' - building is 30' deep x 26' wide. Should have a 13' ceiling height after the floor is poured. 6" of 4k psi concrete, fiberglass reinforcement, plus metal mesh. Should last the rest of my life.

Just need to fix a communication screwup on the garage door there - it's supposed to be 12' wide. The concrete in the pic here is 10'6" wide for a 10' door. Going to have to cut a foot off each side.

Did a 2006 Impala alternator last night. Definitely harder to get to than my pickup, but still pretty easy. Old one was whining. The bearings sound squeaky when turned by hand.

If you didn't buy a reman, you can rebuild the old one and sell it on eBay to recoup some cash.

This site is great for rebuilding starters and alternators:  http://rebuilderinabox.com

Yeah dude gotta park in the boonies

Eclipsed 53k on my last stretch of days off. Kinda nice when the mileage seems like just a number, Suppose that's what happens when you keep up on maintenance.

Nixed the remote locking tail gate, the new harness doesn't match the plug on the junction, and I just do not like the thought of splicing into the wiring. The manual lock works great, so no reason to fix it.

It happened in my driveway by an errant baseball throw

In your driveway? OUCH. Did not see that tidbit.

Glad it's back to 100%!

Going to go do a rinse before it gets cold, at least try to keep most of the yuck off

Today I installed a new tailgate cap and replaced the broken drivers side door latch cable, and washed it and detailed it.  It is getting picked up Friday and sent to auction.

So, last Saturday I traded the '13 ext cab in on a 2014 Sierra SLT crew cab with the 6.2L. Our first child is due in four weeks and we have been looking for a crew cab for a couple months now. I got a promotion over a month ago which allows me to have a take home vehicle, so I don't drive my personal truck during the week. Therefore, I bumped the mileage up on what we were looking for and found this one with 55k. All service records provided and extremely well taken care of. Man these 6.2L's are a monster. It has a 2" level, 295/60/20 Toyo AT2's, and MBRP exhaust.

Hope she will be a great truck. Merry Christmas to all!

Edit: Sorry for the sideways photo... can't get it to rotate.
