Suburban Autoride

From what I am able to find poking around on the Internet, the Autoride system is controlled and maintained by the ECM.

 

First question, is this correct?

 

Second question, I would like to diagnose and replace (if necessary) the springs/shocks. Any pearls of wisdom in dealing with this Autoride system?

Heres another good post from another guy with the autoride/autolevel disconnect and switch

to regular shocks and PCM/BCM reprogramming...................
