Love the front end on that one. Nice camper body too.

If that were available here, Ford would probably ask $90k for it ...

If people are wondering what's going on with our schools here:

Teachers strike in Oklahoma continues Monday with the start of week two. Crooked politicians and naive teachers combine for a superstorm that leaves kids uneducated. It's partly the teacher's fault too, when I was in school over a decade ago they would believe everything anyone told them about school funding. I remember teachers endlessly pushing the Oklahoma lottery(tell your parents to vote for it!!) because we would never need education funding again. Lol. The schools got pennies from it.  Yeah, I want kids to have well funded education, but the root of the problem is the OK legislature. We are taxed quite a bit here and everything is underfunded "somehow". (I wonder if the town of 10,000 that spent a few million on a indoor facility for the sports teams has something to do with it.)

They can quadruple the school funding now, but in a decade the politicians will have gutted it or made it disappear again if new laws are not put in place to protect it with extreme measures needed to reverse it. This walkout may very well end up not accomplishing anything lasting more than a few years. This situation  has even happened before. People don't learn. It's ironic that it can be the people that are supposed to be TEACHING.

The problem with the school system is spiritual.  Over one hundred years ago the heads of the various teachers unions and organizations declared as their goal not to teach the three Rs but to turn America's children into robots, known today as Social Justice Warriors.  They do not know how to think critically or for themselves, they've been trained to disrespect traditional authority but blindly obey the teachers and teachings of statism.

The solution for this is to take the money and power away and make it local, a parents' responsibility to educate their children on their own dime and not confiscate the wealth of others to do it.  It's a lie that there's not enough money in education.  It's just a ploy for more and more money as they are in actuality money-laundering operation; taking taxpayer dollars and using them to elect big government statists and indoctrinate, not educate our children.

WELL SAID James. Right on the money.

I bought something off eBay(won the auction, ended overnight). I wake up and it says it's time to pay, so I log in to pay, and it says I already did. I look in PayPal it it shows no transaction. Refresh eBay and it still says I paid. I message the seller to see if he recieved payment, he says he did and will ship tomorrow.

I never paid! What the heck? Is there some sort of "eBay fairy"? The guy said he got the $14 so I guess there is nothing to worry about.

We are going through something similar. Property tax caps left a shortfall for education. We have a referendum up for vote this May for our school district

Same old story - just a different state, and town. Same crap happens here all over MA.

Here in MA back in the 80's, Proposition 2-1/2 was enacted -  property taxes cannot be increased more than 2.5% per year, unless an override is voted on by the town. EVERY SINGLE YEAR at least 5 overrides come up for vote, and it's always the schools crying for money! Once an override is passed, the tax increase is compounded year after year with the normal increases - it never goes away! The idiots in the eastern part of the state pass every single override that comes up for vote. That's why people are paying from $5k-$10,000 PER YEAR in property taxes!

Bottom line is, if the damn state (and federal) government would stop pissing away money like drunken whores, this problem would go away overnight. Thankfully my town defeated every single override that came up for vote. We're bled dry! How much more money are they going to extort from us? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

Don't believe the "chicken littles" - the sky isn't falling, and the schools aren't going to economically collapse if they don't get their money. If you don't put a stop to it, they'll just keep taking, and taking, and taking, until YOU have NOTHING left! Friggin vultures. Our GOVERNMENT is the problem here. It's not a money problem! Band together with your neighbors, and STARVE THE MACHINE.

Eliminate the DOE and NEA and other related front groups.  They are anti-American and have been plainly telling us for over one hundred years that there goal is socialism and not the 3 Rs.  We're stupid to let it continue and turn our children into snowflakes and drain our wealth to use it against us.  Insane.

Edwards, cool!

And I had to stop in and say SHARK BITE plumbing products are fantastic. water heater hit the dust just shy of 14 years. Got it set up and then the shut off valve on the input line broke.

After ai found out about the shark bite, found they make a water heater input line with a valve built it. You just make a clean cut on the pipe  and push on the shark bite. Done. Also does a quick release if you have the tool. Amazing product.

    • Hey thanks yall for the info. It apparently was the key fob - the "reserve" key fob works just fine. Yall were all over it. Great input! JRD
    • I just bought one of these.   https://www.topdon.us/collections/diagnostic-tools/products/artidiag-pro   Yeah, it`s got a cable. $250/year after 2 years. Do I want more? Yep. But, I`m not working any more and can`t afford a whirlpool in my tool box.
    • Why don't I have a good scanner? I've always wanted one when I've needed one.   My latest reading says I don't need to do a relearn on the ckp sensor on a 1995 with OBD 1.5. The relearn is prescribed for the later-model 1995's which shipped with actual OBD II when GM completed the transition in prep for the 1996 MY. I need to confirm that. Did you know forums are disappearing? Knuckleheads on Facebook... it's not the same. It's just not.   So, scanners. Again, shooting myself in the foot for having eBayed my Snap On MT2500 "brick" with all the adapters. Not that I couldn't buy another but those are getting quite old, and mine wasn't new enough to work on 2000's vehicles.   Damn it (as I'm scanning my email between paragraphs here). Did you know there's a 2000 Jimmy 2-door on BaT that's ending this morning? It's local. I want it. 14k miles. Absolutely beautiful.   Back to scanners. MT2500's are old. Solus, now that could be a contender. There's a ~2008 Verus with a system error that's basically new in box for cheap. Hmm...I'm not sure about a scanner that runs an archaic version of windows (95 or CE, I can't tell).   I want the ability to reset and rotate TPMS, test individual modules, bleed ABS, electronic parking brake controls for servicing brakes, relearn procedures and other bidirectional controls.   Snap On does an MT2600. It's a new model as of last year, marketed as their "entry" scanner. Entry? Only where $1900 gets you through the doorway plus, I'm guessing, $1000/year if you wish to keep it current. So goes scan tools actually designed for production environments. Want decent products with excellent support, you pay for it.   Everyone is raving about Autels and TopDons and Foxconns and all these newer brands that are selling the $500 "prosumer" scanners for backyard hacks like me. They're tempting...honestly. Updates are cheaper, base prices are remarkably cheaper... And you get to deal with bugs and translation whoopsies and, well, just don't use it on anything expensive, OK? Having a dealer replace an ECU because it needs to be re-imaged after an adventure in scanning is no joke. But I think most people are getting by OK with these units.   eBay on a scratch-and-sniff pro-model oldie, a shiny new TopDon, or???   God dang it, I can't stop looking at this Jimmy. I'm ready! I'll Bring The TRailer! It's beautiful.
    • I removed the OE running boards.  It looked so much better.  I wish I took them off a long time ago.     I had to put something back on for my wife.  I wanted Westin Sure Grip Running Boards but they are very pricey, like $600 plus.  I was going to go with the Ionic 41's like I had on the 2019 Silverado but went with Westin Outlaw Drop Steps instead, about $200 cheaper.  They are sturdy and functional but not super crazy about the look, but it works.
