I need some input. I am going to buy a 5" lift but am wondering which is the better route for me. I want to retain my stock 20" rims but run the largest tire at the same time.

Question is whether to buy the Bracket lift or the Knuckle lift.

My ride, '15 Silverado LT Z71, 6" Fabtech, 35" x 12.50" 20 Toyo AT II on Fuel Mavericks, 20" x 9" (5" BS). Fits in 7' garage (82 1/2" actual opening height). I have about 1" clearance at top of Onstar antenna, had to cut the radio antenna about 6"-7". Color is Slate Gray Metallic.

Love your set up(simple yet aggressive) and Color of Truck! Is it 2 or 4WD? Could you post some additional photos down the side so I can see how far the tires stick out?

Thanks, it's 4WD and here's the shot down the side that you requested.

I assume youre talking about the rough country 5" lifts? I have thought about this too. you would think they would at least make the knuckle lift slightly cheaper since its a lot less parts, but they are the same exact price.

the major difference (if youw want to call it major) is that the knuckle lift will push your front track width out. to some people its very annoying (including me), but others dont care.

If you read through the instructions they are a lot different as well. the bracket lift seems a little more involved and requires more cutting/modifying stock parts it seems.

I was referring to the Rough Country lift. Before making (to me) such a large investment I want to ensure I make the best possible choice for me. The last thing I want is to be dissatisfied cause I truly love my truck and am only wanting to enjoy it more.

Thanks for the informative posts.

Yes they are, they were on the truck originally and I didn't like the tire/wheel combo. I was able to talk the sales manager into letting me pick the tire/wheel combo I wanted. I told him he could use this set up on the next truck they lifted. BTW good eye.

Hello all I picked up a used 14 silverado let in February already lifted but I have no idea what kit is on it and the method they used other than blocks in the rear. Its a 6" lift and I was thinking of adding a body lift for some additional height. If I do add a body lift will anything already on the truck need to be altered or changed since it will be higher than 6" now. I wish I knew how the lift was done and what kit they used I do believe the shocks are all still stock also which I want to change the rear ones at least. I appreciate any help thanks!post-139750-0-81026300-1433631177_thumb.jpg

So if I do a small body lift 1" or 1.5" I shouldn't have to change anything else in terms of other components on the truck?

Tires are rubbing the black plastic fender linings pretty bad any suggestions ? I don't really want to remove them because I like the look.

I just trimmed them about 3" on the back and made a straight line. Looks like it was normally there
