I decided to lift truck finally after some back and forth. I had an RC 6” and 35x12.50x18LT installed. I will say my initial reaction wasn’t “god damn!” but more like “why the hell are my front tires out further than the back?!” I had no idea that was going to happen. The shop who did it pushed me away from spacers on rear. I called RC and they told me to get their 2” GM spacers to fix track issue.

Has anyone done this? I would prefer to not lose my wheels on highway. RC assures me this is perfectly fine.

Knuckle kits ALL use cv spacers thus widening front track width. Wheel spacers are 100% safe as long as they are QUALITY!!! Brands like BORA are what you should look for that are wheel/lug/hub centric.

I ran Ebay wheel spacers on my 03 Ram for well over 100,000 kms till I sold the truck, which had 360000 kms on it.  They were 2" billet aluminum spacers front and back, lugcentric and hub centric.  Not a lick of trouble did I have.  Blue loctite the spacer itself onto your existing hub for some peace of mind.  Use a torque wrench, etc.  If u dont tow or haul regularly it's not a big deal.  It's essentially the same as having the equivalent negative offset wheels.

I think most guys go 1.5 inch spacers to even out rear.

Mudflaps or something to protect your paint would be wise if u plan on keeping it for awhile

If done right the spacers won't hurt anything, like someone said it's basically just changing the offset on your wheel to be more negative. Also as noted, BORA seems to be the most trusted brand. Custom Offsets has a youtube video about spacer myths, #2 and #5 will apply to your questions. Also, personally I went with 1.75" spacers to avoid stud trimming. Mine aren't in yet but everything I found says our studs are right at 1.75", so if you do the 1.5" spacer, you will have to trim some for it to sit flush against the hub, which is a MUST.

Thank you! I called RC 3 times and they swore I need a 2” spacer to fix the track on my lift. I ordered a BORA 2” spacer and will get it installed soon.

I’m pretty sure I can do this myself. Just loctite the hub studs and put wheels on like normal.

Make sure it's blue loctite

No need to weld them with red loctite lol

I wished that was my truck, but that comment was made towards jballs15157. His setup is perfect for the 6" lift. I just have a Zone 2" level kit on mine right now. I'm lurking around trying to decide what to do. I'm stuck somewhere with the 6" and the  Zone 4.5". I'm sure yours will turn out great. All of these are basically what that individual sees and likes, but mine eye caught his. I really like the stance and the fact he kept his factory wheels. I am new to GM having come from a Ford and new to 4x4.

It must be me..... I’ve only had lifted diesels, this is my first 1500. Maybe this is nature of the knuckle lift? But two things I noticed.

1. It’s not hard to trip my traction control when turning. I feel something in front but I think that may be TC cutting power.

2. When I’m steering it seems like I get towards end of full lock and it just feels blah (not sure how to explain it.) Like my tires going to fall off or something. Maybe that’s the wide track experience. I get to certain point and then blam wheel cuts to full lock.

RC 6” lift with 35s and Fox Coilovers.

Had my 6" BDS lift installed this weekend. Went with 35x12.5 Ridge Grapplers on fuel 20x10.

An interesting thing to note, the installer I went through said they must've changed something incrementally in the 2018 year wheel wells. Where they had to trim previously to fit 20x10's on earlier years, everything cleared fine without rubbing. All they had to do was remove the valence.

If anyone is within distance to NothingButLifts in Jasper, AL I highly recommend them they really know their stuff and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I drove 3 hours from TN to get to them and forewent all the local shops around Nashville, and am extremely happy I did.

Now to figure out what's next...

Looks great.

Did your track widen at all from stock? My RC 6” extended 2” in front.

Thanks! Yea, I have not measured it yet but I'd say the BDS lift pushes it out about 1.5" and then the offset of the wheels plus the wider tires added another 1.5" inches or so. I was afraid it was going to be too far out, but It's actually perfect for the height.

Ditto mine are 2” with 18 offset wheels.

I ordered a 2” BORA adapter to fix the rear.

It’s incredibly noticeable when you look at truck.
