You definitely do NOT stack blocks

a comment in response to the RCX 3.5" lift option. While I'm not advocating that's is exactly comparable to the 4" Zone or BDS, wouldn't the new RCX 3.5" Knuckle kit help with the TRE and Ball Joint issues that one would normally see with any UCA Lift that high?
I talked to Rough Country and they said the 3.5 knuckle lift fixes the tre and upper bj issues.

I jus put on a 7.5 RC 

I'm think of gettin front coil overs with adjustable shocks 0-3in

But than that will create a rake from front 2 back so trying 2 figure out best way to pull up the back 2 level back out with the front 

Or what other opinions or options I have

For those who have the BDS 6" should I add the AAL? I'm about to put a deposit down for the lift etc.

 

The shop I'm using said it will sit just a hair higher in the back without the extra AAL, but I worry once everything settles if it will drop too low.

 

Thoughts? Ideally I'd like maybe half an inch of rake.

I have the 6” BDS and didn’t add the leaf. Without it I would say it sits level or maybe a hair lower in the front. I think adding the leaf will add more noticeable rake.

Anyone with a 6" lift or more that has vibration issues in A4WD and 4HI? I've never had a need for 4LO but I would imagine the vibration exists there as well. When in 4Auto and 4HI the truck has a vibration through the steering wheel and cabin that seems to be related to the RPMs. It doesn't show up much or at all below 2,200 RPMs and seems to go away above 4,500 RPMs. The truck didn't do it when I first bought it with the lift, it only showed up after the dealer prematurely replaced a CV shaft. The dealer claims it is the front drive shaft and it is just a symptom of being lifted. I call BS on that as I spoke with BDS and they indicated they never received a complaint about vibrations in 4auto. Anyways the dealer is refusing to work on the truck, so I'm looking for some things to check myself.

Correct, also "NOT" what i said. The full leaf pack option put the rear of my truck up about 5 inches, so if he's looking for more than what a 5" block can do, he could do the full leaf pack and change out the stock block for 2" or 3" or so to push up a little higher. I still doubt it's the greatest idea in the world, but not nearly on the level of stacking blocks.

See above. If I were you, I would get a more professional opinion than mine, however, the full leaf pack puts me right around the rear-end height of a 3/4 ton (I actually wonder if its a 3/4 ton leaf pack, looks very similar) and they throw blocks underneath to lift those. Especially if you're only looking to gain 2" above what a 5" block would do. If you did the leaf pack and 2" block, I think you'd be there. (5" block minus the 1" stock block is a net change of 4", so the 5" gained by the leaf pack plus net 1" by using a 2" block puts you dang close by my math).

I remember reading a few pages back on the thread somewhere that guys were having that issue or similar, and the fix was to remove the drive shaft, rotate (180 degrees if memory serves) and put back together. Sounded like a relatively easy fix. So the stealer might be right that it is the front drive shaft, but mostly because they put it back together out of sync.

I read your post wrong , i thought you said he could stack blocks if he wanted to go higher lol

Thanks, I'll try this as soon as I get some free time. Hopefully, this Saturday at the latest.

Quick question. Could I remove my 2" block from my level and replace it with a zone add a leaf? Then if i need a little more after it settles i could reinstall my factory block. I would rather do it that way instead of changing to a 3" block. Plus have a little better ride while towing the boat.

To maintain what you have sitting on a 2" block I think you would need the stock block and add-a-leaf. From everything I've seen about the a-a-l it only give you an inch or so.

 

*Caution: this advice might be worth less than what you paid...I don't have personal experience with the add-a-leaf. :D

I decided to lift truck finally after some back and forth. I had an RC 6” and 35x12.50x18LT installed. I will say my initial reaction wasn’t “god damn!” but more like “why the hell are my front tires out further than the back?!” I had no idea that was going to happen. The shop who did it pushed me away from spacers on rear. I called RC and they told me to get their 2” GM spacers to fix track issue.

Has anyone done this? I would prefer to not lose my wheels on highway. RC assures me this is perfectly fine.
