I added .5" up front so now it sits 39.5 with 2.5 up front and 40 in the back stock.

That sits perfect. Awesome truck. So 2.5" up front and stock in back equals pretty much level. Great info!

Truck looks great.

The crew cabs seem to look more natural when level, maybe because of the length or the fact they are slightly more level to begin with.

I've read through pretty much this whole thread and I have a few questions.

1. Does installing a front leveling kit void the factory warranty?

2. On average what are you noticing in the difference in MPG after the level with factory tires or one size up.

3. What brand would you recommend?

I decieded to only install the lower strut spacers with my RC 2.5" lift, it looks much better.

If you look back a few pages in this thread, these exact questions have been answered.

I must have browsed past it, I've been though all 18 pages and didn't see any specific #'s.

I just measured to see where my stock ride height was. It was 35 3/4" up front and just a hair under 39 1/2" in the rear, which seems a bit low in the front. My 2007 was 37" stock ride height in the front.

When you say factory warranty, you have to realize that a level affects suspension only. Therefore the only warranty that can be voided (if possible) is suspension components - and front components at that. It is really dealer dependant because some dealers will be sticky and others won't care to put up the fight. My dealer told me there would be no issues with a level, or lift, installed by a reputable garage (which they work with). $150 for the level and $100 labour(I helped the mechanic).

With factory tire size, and a 2.5" rough country level, I've seen about 1L/100k increase which is about 1.35 mpg decrease.

I'd recommend rough country for price, warranty, and quality. There are many other good brands out there which I cannot speak to.

What kit did you buy that was $150. One I saw was $68

The Rough Country kit with the front spacers and rear blocks is $149. I would think the one for $68 would be front spacers only.

The 2" is $65 and the 2.5" which includes the 2" blocks/hardware + front strut tophat, rear blocks and u bolts is $150.

You could round up 4 nuts and 4 bolts for $10 and level the truck if you wanted.

A little off topic, but can anyone help me to find the 1" rear block . I have 2" RC level front and rear stock ,but it looks like the front is little higher than the back. Just want to raise the back up a bit..

I did search, but most of them came as a kit..

    • Hi all - my current truck is a 2022.5 1500 High Country 3.0. I bought the truck used last year. After doing some digging, I noticed that my truck's software is stuck on the original build from 2022. I have no available software updates. I talked to my dealer about this and they recommended not trying to force an update since the 36,000 mile warranty is expired. This is a big bummer since there have been many major releases since that have fixed small issues and improved speed/usability.   For reference, the current software build number is: full_gminfo37_gb-user 10 W158E-W164.4.2-QIH22B-563.3 158 release-keys Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I just forget about it and move on, or try a different dealer?
    • Sure. Buy it for me 🤣
    • Using zip ties but 2-3 they snap due to sharp edges. Just using a shoestring. Last longer. 🤣
    • I ordered the Snap On...waiting for it to come in later this week or early next week.   New front cover, new crank seal and new balancer are on. Water pump, pulley, fan, hoses, and plastics reinstalled. I can move forward knowing all my timing marks are dead on and the front engine is hopefully sealed better than it was. Take 2 with the water pump...trying high temp thread sealer on the lower bolts.   Rebuilt injector and new-new regulator is in, it looks like new. Top intake reassembled and all the bits are reconnected and snugged down.   Thinking about knock sensors again, I located both of mine and, there's your problem, Francis... The driver's side one is broke, plastic is bashed in, part of the wire is bare, and it appears to have been damaged like that for a long time. I saw the wire but didn't think anything of it. The knock sensor might not be my pulled timing issue, but it sure looks suspect. It must still be conducting, otherwise I'd expect a CEL. But perhaps with its sacred crystal inside exposed, jilted and dirty, maybe it's sending mixed signals. So I'm waiting for one of those and a new pigtail to come in. Pass side sensor looks good, except for the spark plug wire resting on it (!). The plug wires are healthy so it shouldn't be causing an issue, but I separated them and added zip ties to nearby looms to keep everything well apart.   So, I'm down to installing a knock sensor AND, oh, replacing the exhaust and cat. I actually think that's going to be fairly easy, it's all bolt-together, all new stuff from Walker is laid out on the shop floor ready to go. Hopefully have this thing on the road again for the weekend.   My luck? It will still be leaking oil, coolant, pulled timing, intermittent CEL for running rich, or it probably won't run at all -- because that's how this project has gone.   I've never worked on a vehicle so ...hurt? ...cursed? in my life. Everything has been effed with SO HARD, but I think...knock on wood...I've managed to undo all the backyard stuff and we're almost reset back to "just" an 80k mile, 30 year old Blazer.
