Not sure if this is the right post to ask this in, but are the stock shocks long enough to use if I put 3 inch blocks in the back?

That I'm not sure of. I added shock extenders on mine just in case

Any suggest blocks for a 2" front level? I need at 2" increase for the rear

I didn't think you could run 275/70/18 without at least 1" of front. But is it really needed? Or can I run this size without a level and not have any rubbing?

All around? That looks level, where is the rake? Did you do 3 front and a 3 inch block in back? That would be essentially a 1.75 rear lift.

 

Nice truck, keep the rims and a more aggressive and large AT tire it would be perfect, dig the color.

Correct as far as I remember the stock block is 1.25 so the rear got lifted 1.75 inches. The front a full 3. With the original level it was a 3 in front and a 2 inch block in the back. With that it looked like a slight slight squat in the rear. Adding the 3 inch rear block gives almost no rake. On flat ground you have to stare at it to see the ever so slight rake.

You think the stock rims? I was curious on that as a friend said the same but like some of the AM rims and yes at least 33s maybe 34s if they can fit

Just put a 2.25 Ready Lift on my 2016 GMC SLE Z71. I am putting 275/70R18 Duratracs on it next weekend. Any others out there run the same setup without looking through this whole topic? Should I expect any rubbing?

They'd probably fit stock. 295/65R19 Duratracs fit with a 2.5 level.

Factory 20x9 Wheels - (23220752)

 

Installed 2.5" Rough Country Lift this weekend, with rear blocks.

 

I've read through all posts and nothing is clear, tire rubs on one truck but not the other.

 

I am looking to run Nitto Trail Grappler's 33x12.5x20 (32.76x12.52) or a Nitto Trail Grappler 295x55x20 (32.91x12.52).

 

Will either of these fit without rub, if rub, how much trimming.

    • If it has a stick I can have fun with it. When my wife first got her Acura years ago I used to tease her about it. I was only interested in muscle cars. They’re gone now. So once a month I drive the Acura. Every once in a while I’ll take it to Redline. But just normal driving on some twisty back roads usually does the trick. 
    • I went through again with a test light and everything checked out.    I suppose it could be the MAF itself but I've tried 3 different sensors, 2 of which were in running vehicles previously (the one in this truck, and the one in the donor truck), as well as a new one I picked up from NAPA. I would just be surprised if all 3 were bad.   EDIT/UPDATE: I swapped in the MAP sensor that was originally with the 2010 PCM, that made the code for map sensor voltage high Go away, and the map sensor seems to read normal with key on engine off (14psi or so), but it still doesn't run and does the same thing as before.
    • In addition to a cell or wifi connection, the infotainment needs to be enabled to download software updates. That's a toggle within the system settings.   But...if the truck was prevented from receiving updates in a past life, missing a bunch of updates may mean it won't go back and download all of those because they're not available or the system is too far out of date.   If a formal recall depends on a software update, the recall for that truck remains in an open status until it's applied. The dealer would need to apply the software update in that instance.   Most updates downloaded and applied via the infotainment aren't recalls/safety recalls, they're enhancements and usability fixes which aren't critical.
    • Recently I've been getting a message, "New Brake Pads Detected. Reset Brake Pad Life?", But I haven't had the pads replaced and the truck only has 28,000 miles. The Brake Pad Life shows Front 64% and Rear 79%. I select NO to resetting the brake pad life and the message goes away but comes back at the nest restart.   I stopped by the dealer and was told that it sounds like a software glitch that would require reprogramming. Even though I have the extended warranty, they tell me that reprogramming is not covered unless a module was actually bad and needed to be replaced. Simply reprogramming is not covered. So, they want $200.00 just to diagnose the problem. If it turns out no bad module, another charge on top of that to do the reprogramming. If the cause was an actual bad module, everything would be covered under the warranty.   Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Should this issue be covered under the warranty?   Thanks
    • NHT is diesel only, correct.     The GVWRs for NHT on 3/4 ton bring them to the same numbers as many of the 2WD 1 tons.  A crew 4x4 standard 3/4 with NHT is 11,750lbs, a 1 ton same cab/box/4x4 is 12,100lbs.     Hubs and hub bearings are the same for 11.5" and 12" axles.  Housing, diff carrier and ring/pinion are larger for the 12".   All gas use the 11.5" axle, 3/4, 1 ton and 1 ton DRW.
