I checked resistance on all the other "smaller" LEDs resistors they were between 2.1Kohms and 2.5Koms... these are 2.2Kohm resistors and all 4 LED's light up beautifully..

Thank you Jason, I appreciate your effort. When I get some time I can devote to this, I will add the resistors.

Did the trim come off as easy as it did in the youtube video you suggested to watch? Seems it came off easily, but couldn't tell if it was already popped before he started. Looks like you could almost use a plastic knife or something of the sort, although a trim tool is probably the right way.

honestly I was a little worried... it was pretty tight.. just start at the top.. its thicker there.

Unbelievable that they dropped the ball on the Silverados, but not the Sierras!?! You would THINK that those circuit boards are all made at the same time/place??????? (or did they SPECIFICALLY eliminate this for the Silverados???)

Very strange!!!

Thanks for figuring out and sharing THE FIX!!! :)

Jennifer, Can you pass this quick fox along to GM and see if they can get something on paper so we can take our trucks in to our dealership and get this fixed.

I agree, with all the issues that they have had with these trucks, this one is a pretty cheap fix. GM should be the one doing it. I'd hate to break my trim trying to fix a problem that GM should be fixing. Please pass this along Jennifer!

Do you guys honestly think GM doesn't already know about this? Come on.

So still no reply or statement from GM customer service in regards to the Lights around the knobs? Jennifer??

I seriously doubt GM will send this as a fix to the dealers. I doubt any dealers have a person on staff who specializes in circuit board repairs.

I agree with you 100%. The point is though that we never even got a response. I know in a Grand Am I had I had to send in my radio for two weeks to be repaired but they replaced all the worn off knobs etc.. Maybe the circuit board or screen etc.. would have to be sent in but again with no response leads us to guess and be in the dark.

I am going to guess this is a supplier issue with the manufacture of the module that is affected. Someone prob got lazy and didn't solder in the resistors causing the issue. I think until GM see's how many modules are affected they are trying to figure out which way is more economical for the repair, to have the module repaired r get the manufacture to step up and replace the modules and pay for the module and warranty cost.
