I think his "MF" was meant in a way regarding the fornication of a nurturing female figure.

Are you ordering? I still don't have my truck or I would.

I dunno... I see it listed on Summit's website for $869. Seems like a lot for just a single exhaust. I'm gonna check around for prices though.

That is the reason I just got my exhaust guy to put in a 3" pipe from the muffler to the tailpipe. I couldn't justify dropping 800$ on a cat back that I'm not going to be dumping loads of money into. If I was building it for a race purpose yeah I'd probably drop the dough on a catback.

I ordered mine from my GMC dealer and they are installing it for $750. I would guess you should be able to buy w/o installation in the mid to low $600's.

I may go just the muffler route. The exhaust on this 6.2L is stout already with nice bends. Not really anything to do with race... it's gonna look hella sweet, give a nice note, and produce a lil power going full catback so you get a lot but it costs.

I recently added a magnaflow 18". 3" in / single 3" out and dumped it over the rear axle. The 3rd cat is still installed. Nice deep sound and very quiet unless you are in the throttle. No highway droan whatsoever but I am turning 2300 rpm on the highway so others' results may be different. Cruising at 75 I can faintly hear it over the tires. Very happy with the way it turned out. Cost was 329 OTD.

Just got a magnaflow 18 inch 4x8 casing 3 inch in /out with 3rd cat delete and silencer delete. Exhaust looks stock now but sounds good and mellow.

Guys with 6.2 what size and muffler types are you running just your replace stock restrictive muffler? I was thinking magnaflow 12909 or the race mufflers 14151 oval or 14161 round. Anyone try these yet?

If you keep the 3rd cat any muffler will be pretty quiet. Get rid of it and then it's completely different. I'm running 4X9 casing 18 inch and it sounds good and fine on the highway.

I just got rid of the muffler, sounds great under 100. Im not afraid to spend money, I just figured it was a good place to start. Don't ask me to do a sound clip, Im having enough problems with pic.

Hmm I started first with muffler delete, sound was different but not much else. I then removed the flapper, still sounded like ah what's the word I'm looking for .....Sh!T comes to mind. Then I had a fake Magnaflow installed (I was unaware that it was a knock off)....sounded better. Then I had the third cat removed, a real magnaflow 14" installed along with a custom tune and now it sounds and performs sweet!

Just my experience.
