24". I mean seriously how do you get 24 out of 14?? I will say though that with the resonator removed the 24" doesn't sound bad at all. Not sure what I'm going to do though.

Make them fix it!!! That's what I would do! You paid for one thing, they should deliver.

Could have been an honest mistake/typo... but they should still make it right.

I am going to call them today and see what they say. I'm sure he will not be very receptive!!

Well Let's hope so! The muffler you've got still sounds great, my father in law has it. I certainly wouldn't be too upset, but I like how loud mine is for sure!

Hey guys, so I haven't seen any reviews or much of anything on the AFE Rebel exhaust so I figured I would give it a shot. Almost pulled the trigger on the Gibson Metal Mulisha but got cold feet that it may be too loud. Plus I didn't like the giant tip and I wanted something a bit different. I stumbled on the AFE Rebel completely by accident just browsing pics of side exit exhaust systems and loved the look!

I got the polished tip version to match the small chrome accents on the truck but they have a black tip version too. Snagged it for $620 shipped directly from AFE and it shipped super fast, next day actually, and I had it within three. I must say this is a very high quality exhaust, all stainless, no "tuning" needed to get the pipes to fit together or anything. It came with band clamps and a new hanger mount for the rear. Installed in no time using a lift and I had no issues besides a minor leak from the slip connection going into the muffler but I doubled up on the clamps because I had an extra and it seems fine. The seal to the factory pipe is excellent but I did go ahead and buy a new clamp from the dealer first.

Sound is exactly what I was going for. Nice low rumble, pretty aggressive note but definitely not too loud. Its a very smooth quality sound with no rasp or harshness to it. Cold starts are mild, definitely not wake the neighbor loud if you are worried about that. Only downside is V4 drone is terrible. I immediately ordered a Range device after the first drive. In V8 mode its still quiet enough to have a conversation at normal volume but you can definitely still hear it cruising down the highway. Overall I am extremely happy and impressed with this exhaust - 100% would buy again. If you are looking for a mild-aggressive exhaust that has a deep tone and a different style exit check it out.

I've always loved side dump exhausts and almost did that with mine. I ended with dual rears but that looks like a really clean setup.

Drone (not talking about the V4 sound) came from equalizing the exhaust with a cross over pipe. Back in the day we ran true duals with no cross over. The sound was just a nice rumble. One large exhaust will help with drone.

Final product ended up being a 18" Magnaflow part #12259. Still not loud enough but the guy turned into a giant douche for his mistake and didn't have any 14" mufflers in stock. He blamed me and said I never told them what muffler to put on. I told them 3 times and even if they didn't know what to put on they should've asked instead of putting the biggest Magnaflow in the shop on the truck. The 18 " does sound better than the 24" for sure. However it still isn't loud enough for me!!!

Finally got a min to make a quick video of the aFe Rebel exhaust. Sorry for the bad quality, the gopro didn't work out sound wise so this is from my iphone on lunch real quick. Didn't come through as loud as it really is.

    • Whoever greenlighted the work truck matte black front bumpers on every trim but the AT4X should be fired!  I was hoping that was an AI mistake, but just realized they were on every model of the 2027 Silverado too.     Some parts of the interior do look premium, but the Denali Ultimate dashboard looks like an afterthought.  At least they appear to have lost the microfiber the high end Silverado models showed, but the '27 High Country dash looks better than the Denali.
    • New member here. I am researching a read-first event-recorder concept for late-model GM V8 trucks. This is not a sales post. There is no product link, price, preorder, or mailing list. I am trying to determine whether the underlying problem is real before building anything.   Has your truck ever had a brief problem such as: - rough running or a momentary misfire - an oil-pressure warning or unusual pressure event - reduced power or a brief stall - a U-code or lost-communication problem - a symptom that disappeared before the dealer or independent shop could reproduce it   If so, I would appreciate the following details: - year, model, engine, and mileage - what happened and under what conditions - whether a DTC and useful freeze-frame data were stored - whether the shop was able to reproduce it - what the eventual confirmed repair was, if known - what additional information would have helped the diagnosis   The concept being evaluated is a removable leave-in recorder that continuously retains a rolling window from before and after an event. It would not tune, reflash, clear codes, or change the vehicle calibration.   I am also not claiming that it could predict lifter failure or see every internal ECM variable.   The real question is whether continuous event history would add enough useful evidence beyond freeze frame, GDS2, and existing scan tools — or whether it would simply be another unnecessary gadget.   For owners and technicians, which problem would make something like this genuinely useful: 1. intermittent misfire or AFM/DFM-related behavior 2. oil-pressure events 3. lost communication or electrical faults 4. none of the above Please be blunt. Negative feedback is just as useful as positive feedback.
    • No tears over the SLE and SLT trim levels disappearing but I kind of loathe the "Elevation" name. It's a truck--skip the elegance.   The slab-dashboard design is decidedly different. Almost has a Hummer flavor to it. "Professional Grade" seems to be leaning very white-collar, tech-driven these days moreso than blue-collar, functional design.   The Silverado would be my choice between the two new trucks. Pleased with the engine lineup in both. The GMC is a little "too much" for a truck, IMO, and the Denali borders on ridiculous - but I do know there are buyers for luxury trucks out there. It's just not my speed.

    • - I like the outside but not as much as the Chevrolet.  They ICE'd the EV styling and it works, but I think exterior goes to Chevy on this one.     - SLE and SLT dead = Not.  Surprising.  Fits into the rest of the GMC lineup like this which (aside from Pro) matches the rest of the family.  Elevation, AT4, Denali.     - Interior.  Sophisticated Malaise era.  Why do I say Malaise?  Drawn with a ruler.  Rectangles everywhere.  Looks very premium though.
