Ah screw it, I think I'll just get the G4.

If you don't mind the higher profile design of it, I think you'll be happy from everything I've read.

I'll probably place the order next week when I get back from my work trip. The higher profile doesn't bother me so much, plus it should help with diverting water away from the bed. I've read a lot of good things about the G4 and fortunately there's a guy in the office who has one on his high country so at least I've been able to see one in person.

I decided to go with a G4 for my Silverado CC that just got built this week. As much as I would have prefered the higher profile I am glad that I didn't go with a model that is more flush. I am coming from a Avalanche that has a closed cargo height of about 22.5 inches. I commonly haul boxes that when turned sideways would barley fit in that space. I could fit more in the bed of the Av'ie if they were turned sideways.

From what I can tell from measuring my dads 2015 HC CC the height to the top of the bed rails is about 21". So I may not be able to squeeze as much cargo in my closed tonneau bed.

Kinda frustrating.

We'll see how it works out once I have my new ride with the G4 Elite installed. I my accessory deal ordered the G4 cover and my Amp Power Steps this week. They will be ready and waiting for install when my truck is delivered.

No offense taken. I really was a bit too general in my statement. I meant the covers that are designed like the bak/UC Flex. I had also heard about the early flex having water issues, and even some of the new ones. I didn't look much at the tonno pro hard fold or extang solid fold because I wanted (nearly) full bed access without having to completely remove it. The great thing about this market is that there's so many options, but unfortunately not everything can have every feature. #firstworldproblems lol.

Yeah I hear ya, its a pain to have to remove the cover when you need full bed access, its a pain to have water in the bed lol, your damned if you do your damned if you do.

That's why I got a retractable. I wouldn't have even got a bed cover if there weren't so many thieves these days. Out of sight, out of mind. As far as getting wet, camper shell or a van if that's an issue.

Nah I can't do a camper shell, too much $$ and too hard to take it off if I need to carry something tall, plus it looks like an old man mobile. My hard fold keeps the bed dry.

Spurly, groundtrooper, when you guys get your trucks with the G4 installed, how about a quick review? I'm interested in the G4, and would appreciate hearing what you think about it.

Why not consider the Revolver? I absolutely love mine.

It seems like a good cover, that or the Truxedo Titanium.

The Retrax Pro is about as expensive as a camper shell, maybe a little more. I figured it's probably my last new truck so I gave in and spent the money.

I've seen dealer displays of the Titanium and the Revolver. I sort of favored the Revolver over the Titanium mostly because of the metal bar that comes out of the rails and goes into the black plastic tabs when you close the cover which I thought was a better design.

Does anyone have the paragon cover? Do you have issues in opening it when stuff rolls to the front of the bed? It seems to be a pretty cool cover for the price.

Anyone bought a Bak revolver online recently? I'm about to pull the trigger this week and was wondering what the going rate is lately for one.
