Yep, Autoanything should work with Agricover to make it right for you. As you said, the damage was caused by the poor packing job done by the manufacturer. Not good on their part...

Yea I sent them pictures let's see if they send me a replacement rail I noticed the rails don't show when the cover is closed so maybe I'll test it with this rail tomorrow and post pictures of it .

Bought my Lomax directly from Agricover. Ordered mine on Sept 1st which was the day the Lomax became available for order. As a brand new product, I did expected to have some kinks to sort out.

The Lomax arrived damaged. The aluminum panel was bent near the corner. Bad part was, I didn't realize it till I installed the rails and was ready to put the cover on.

Called Agricover the next day. Their customer service was excellent though. I spoke with Curt and explained. He sent me a new Lomax, and sent Fedex to pick up the one I have.

I received the second Lomax. This time I inspected before I attempted install. I saw they made modifications to the packaging. However, it arrived damaged again. I called Agricover once again. I took pics of the damage so they can get a better idea of how the damage occurred.

They sent me a 3rd Lomax. This time it arrived intact. They made considerable modifications on the packaging.

What I did notice was the rails are somewhat curved and made installation a bit tricky. One I got the clamps positioned properly, I was able to install ok.

First impressions: Damn good looking cover. Very contemporary and low profile. The overall cover appears flimsy initially. I have been using it a few weeks and I guess it's sturdy enough. It did leak a bit on the sides when I go through the car wash. I readjusted the rails and lowered them a bit. Also, make sure the cover is "center" as there seems to be some play from left to right. After the adjustments, I took through car wash again. Still have a few drops of leak but much better.

The cover removes very easily. I had to move a couch recently and was pleased I can remove the cover in a minute without tools.

I also like the fact that there is no key. Your tailgate lock is the only lock to concern with. There are concerns whether this cover is like the Backflip and can be unlocked using a coat hanger. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like a similar design. It also seem like a crowbar would rip it open anyway.

Overall, it's a decent cover. I gave feedback to Agricover; they should widen the panel half to 1 inch on each side. That should solve the leaking issue. There is still a lot of improvements to make. I'm sure they would implement those improvements in updated versions.

I do believe they would make the necessary modifications to get it right. Curt from Agricover did take notes on my suggestions.

I installed it today. Once they send me the replacement rail I'll swap the rail. It was an easy install. Was able to do it by myself with the help of a clamp. I noticed what mt groove said cover has play from left to right so you have to mess around with it to get it centered. I really like the look of the cover I haven't seen the mx4 in person so I can't compare. I think it could use and extra inch or so in width to help the weather stripping like mt groove noted . They can still add like an inch and it wouldn't cover the stake holes. It was raining pretty hard today and the bed stayed dry.

I was hoping that the Lomax would be the one to get. But it sounds like it may still be a little rough around the edges. Hopefully they'll consider some of the feedback given and improve upon it.

Yea I would hold off on buying it until they do some improvements to it. They are sending me a replacement rail for the damaged rail, Which should solve the cosmetic issue. Let's see however if they decide to work with us on the fitment issues. No matter what I do the cover is always only on one of the truck rails so the opposite side the cover doesn't make it to the truck rail stays sitting on the tonneau rail.

I know no tonneau cover is water tight but I'm getting a lot of water in. This shifting left to right is also a big issue. Sucks that I spent 800 dollars on something that doesn't fit right. Maybe I should have gotten the mx4 not sure how that one fits but I'm assuming the weather stripping goes further out.

But let's see I'll be reaching out to them and hoping they don't screw over the early adopters. I'll try to post some pictures for you guys to see the fitment I'm talking about when I get a chance.

Not sure if the other guy with the lomax has the same issue if I center it in the front by the time it gets to the tailgate end is not centered. Almost like the cover is / / instead of | |. So no matter ho hard I try to center the cover one end will always be of,f if that makes any sense.

Being from California I have always been a big fan of Snug Top. So I went with my go too, Snug Top SL Tonneau cover Color matched.

Snug Top is going to be MUCH more water tight than most other designs since it drops over the side of the truck bed. A lot of people do not like that type of bed cover because it is so hard to remove and does not completely open the bed up for full access. Color match looks good though and design is sleek. I went with a color matched Peragon a few months back and I do have to report that it does a good bit of leaking in heavy rains and at the carwash. It really is inherent to the design as the water cannot run off like it does on the Snug Top type design. Some leakage is not a issue for me as I keep my stuff in the bed in a plastic tub anyway. color match turned out well on it also. Kudos to Peragon for having a unique design.

Being from California I have always been a big fan of Snug Top. So I went with my go too, Snug Top SL Tonneau cover Color matched.

Looks great. This one is just like mine (Century) except there's one difference ... the keyhole. I did not get the Snug Top brand like yours, because being in Chicago, the ice and snow buildup on top of the cover, would be a problem. The Century version has the keyhole on the back edge, which is more ideal in my location. Other than that, they look identical.

I'm still happy with my $450 Tonnopro, mainly because my bed stays dry, I don't miss all that frustration I had with the undercover flex. I do miss having full bed access a couple of times a year I'll take the cover off but it's about a 2 minute affair and I can do it by myself.

Questions for Fold a Cover users.

- Can you open and close the tailgate without opening the cover? Looking at quite a few videos and none of them shows the tailgate being opened and closed with the cover fully closed.

- Any issues with installation on a 2016 Denali with the factory bedliner?

Yes. I open and close mine regularly. Keeps all the water out too. The only time water gets in is when I pressure wash the cover. Normal rain, snow, hose, etc., doesn't get in. Mine has held up extremely well: 2 years and 30k mi and it's the same as new.

I went with GMC branded folding soft cover, works great stays dry. (mostly)

only water intrusion is tailgate gap, which is minimal

Hey guys, new member here. I like the site, good stuff all around. :-)

I'm trying to decide between a Fold-a-cover G4 and Solid Fold 2.0 but have one question for Fold-a-cover owners and one question for Solid Fold owners.

Fold-a-cover owners : When you take the cover completely off, do you find that the mounting brackets are in the way if you're loading stuff/working in the bed? The striker latches look like they could be pretty hard on your knees if you're up in the bed doing something. Do you find this to be an annoyance?

Solid Fold 2.0 owners : do you feel like the cover is reasonably secure in the middle section? Since the latches are only at the 4 corners, does the middle come up at all? Does it still seem reasonably secure?

For the record, I'm in the camp that if someone wants into the cover, they're going to get in. I'm not going to be keeping the crown jewels back there, but I'd just like to know that someone walking by can't pick up the edge and peek in with their bare hands.
