Assist Steps / Running Boards / Nerf Bars

I have the factory running boards installed from the dealer. They seem pretty heavy duty, and don't really stand out (though if you want them to, they make a chrome option). Anyways, I drove the truck cross-country already and they look exactly the same as when they were installed.

Love that look!

Just ordered the N-Fab C1489CC-SS wheel to wheel stainless nerf bar set for my summit white '14 Sierra-Denali which will replace the factory chrome running boards. Since I'm keeping the OEM 20" chrome Denali wheels, I choose to go with the polished stainless vs black as I feel they will compliment the truck.

 

N-Fab advises order fulfillment will be 60-90 days.

Can't wait to see, keep us updated!

I just had the AMP Research PowerSteps installed and I absolutely love them. I had about 7 different type of steps held up to my truck and nothing looked right either stuck out to far or just made the truck sit far to low so I went with these and they are great tuck up when you don't need them and come down when you open the door.

I put on some Nfab wheel to wheel textured finish steps on my double cab.

 

The install was very easy. I did it by myself but another pair of hands would have been helpful.

 

I am pleased with them and would recommend these steps.

Still love my Amp PowerSteps, but had to change the second failed LED today. Customer Service sent me a kit of 4 when the first ine failed and said they had a run of defective LEDs. The good news is I have spares and it only took a few minutes to change. Oh, and Amp Customer Service is very good!

I still have tied up and wrapped leads for the lights. Never have installed them. I kept telling myself I was going to order some LED strips to put down there. But glad to hear all are having success with AMP customer service. Makes me feel that much better about my purchase.

Do the plug-n-play version of the Amp PowerSteps actuate individually on each side? That is, when only the driver door opens, does just the driver step actuate or do both driver and passenger actuate?

Steps are sturdy and really sharp looking with powder coated hammer finish. Better than any GM offering in that these are not SOOO LOW as to sacrifice too much stock ground clearance.

 

Installation was difficult alone but not impossible. 13mm wrench is all you need.

Those look great. Does the step placement feel about right? I love the look of nerf bars that just have steps, I'm just concerned with them not being where I want to put my foot.

The step placement is perfect for me. Additionally, due to the way the mounting brackets interface with the step bars themselves, you can actually slide the bars forward/aft within roughly a 6-8 inch window. I know that sounds strange but as engineered, the brackets are not fixed or welded to the bars. Rather, the rear of the bars are almost like tracks which slide along the faces of the mounting brackets. When you get the spacing the way you want it, you just crank down the bolts and you're done.

They look great! Too bad they don't make them for a regular cab.

Just a double check. The new amp p/n 76154-01A includes the OBDII plug in but does not include the pass-though harness correct?
