Hi all,

So I picked up these N-fabs from Amazon. Install was surprisingly easy and the hardware seems good. I've had Westin bars and they were rusting in 2 years so I'm going a less expensive route this time. They're already 3 months old and show no signs that I get in and out of the cab 3/4 times daily.

Now, those are some nice bars IMO, perfect fit all around...............steps are more functional than any I've seen on here, how much?

Funny story... yesterday on my way into work, I saw a truck with some really good looking step bars, so I pulled a U-turn and tracked him down to a Chik-Fil-A drive through... I slowly went past him and saw "Ranch Hand" on a giant nameplate. I searched on here and found the exact post you quoted.

I've been seeing (just looked a bit yesterday) the 2 step per side version for $500 and the 3 step per side for $600.

ChaseN has some white ones for sale here:

Says he's selling because it makes his truck look low. I agree in those pics. Maybe because it's white? Anyway his pics gave me pause, as well as the price being a bit higher than other options (Westin HDX). Still may get them though.

Im undecided between the Ranch Hand & Westin HDX..........................

I feel ya. I was pretty much sold on the Westin HDX or HDX Xtreme, but then I was thinking that the angular style wasn't the best for the Sierra, and maybe it worked better on a Silverado or Wrangler... but then I see pictures again and second guess.

If I pick up a pair of the Ranch Hand steps I'd get matte finish; not sure about 2 steps or 3 though.

And another pic of the Ranch Hands just for fun:

The house behind that Sierra looks just like mine. Hey, wait a minute...

I'm still very happy with my Westins. I think they compliment the angles on the grill, etc. Now if Santa brings that leveling kit that I asked for they'll look even better!

Here are my NFABS After 2.5 years, not even 10k miles on truck. In NJ.... Not much exposure to snow/salt to say the least. (these pics were taken in July - they are worse now.)

Looking at other options... thanks for the recommendations in this thread.

That rust is terrible and the exact reason I've had a hard time deciding what boards to buy. I think no matter what, I'm going to be doing my steps in bedliner when I decide.

That's nice, glad to see they can handle a quick jaunt in to the cold in a light dusting of snow; not exactly the conditions I have read about them failing in...

How hard where these to install? Any drilling required or does it bolt right on? I just purchased a set.

Not hard at all, they bolt into pre existing holes underneath. I installed them by myself in about an hour. I still love them! For the price, they can't be beat!

    • The "source" a woman, that writes the article is not a far right person. She's pretty well known "car person". She writes her own stuff, but yes it is initially posted under the Blaze, because they purchased the right to post it first, before it is posted on her own sites. It doesn't mean the info is any less valid. the article itself is not political It's not meant to discount any current actions in the Iran   Only posted the link because that's what has to be done to be legal to post the article. The Blaze is not a site I use. Lauren Fix's page pointed me there and I have to use a bypass method to look at the article since I'm not about to join the site. I've posted articles over the years from the Lefty sites, seems you didn't have a problem with that.   But you do you, keep looking at everything only through left/right lenses.   The 3 or 4 of you that participate in the some of the comments had ample chance to read everything. Other members that don't care for it, send in comments, because as they will point out, political talk is discouraged. Both "sides" complain
    • Would be cool if someone made something most people would like.   Like a plug in tune that is to the end users desire minus messing with the throttle petal factory settings. Sport, economy and WFOT.
    • I don’t. The source is a far-right fake news site perpetuated by Glenn Beck. Funny how you clean up political posts and then regurgitate garbage from politically tainted sites.
    • Not a distraction. You miss the point of the article. It's not just for today's situation. Another way AI is being used and it may explain some of the prices changes when there is no apparent event to cause a 25 cent jump out of nowhere, only to immediately, the next day, begin to drop by 2 cents and so on. These situations were happening before the Iran thing fired off.   I used to be in the retail gas/service business. Pretty much a $1 increase in WTI would increase my price by maybe .10 cents. Now WTI can go down and retailers can get hit with a .35 cent increase out of nowhere.   I thought it was interesting read, since this is being used on all products we buy now
