I put rear headrest monitors in tonight, two Concept CLD-700`s from Amazon.com. Black matches the interior perfectly pretty simple install. Both can play their own DVD but are also linked to share the same disk.

Where do they plugin for power? How are they linked?

I tapped into the cigarette lighter port in the center console pretty simple. I'm pretty handy so I had a work around for the posts being a little sloppy mine are solid and do not wobble around at all.

Keep in mind as well these do not fit like 100% OEM but they are cheap and easy to install and do the job for me on my truck. If you wanted something more clean or more OEM looking I think you would need to spend a lot more money or get custom head rests made. I "might" be able to remove the DVD players from these head rests and mount them in the OEM head rest but I am not sure and not really sure I would bother.

What I did was slide a piece of shrink tube over the legs of the head rest to give it a more tight fit, they do not wobble shake rattle or move around at all. The worst part is removing the backs of the seats the clips are goofy and delicate I did break one removing it but you cannot tell. The center console is pretty simple to tap into the accessory power port. Inside the lower rear pocket from the back seats there are 4 torx screws simply remove those and pull straight up on the rear part of the console. Then I just cut the plug and soldered the wires to it from the two dvd players.

They are linked via RCA cable because each player comes with 2 inputs and 1 output, so I linked one players out to the others in and vice versa so that each player can share the others DVD OR each player can play their own independently.

I'd like to be as transparent as possible with these, they do sit back a little bit from the actual sitting side of the seats, I don't use head rests so its no big deal to me but as seen in the pictures they sit back about 1" from the seat face. Also one of the units came with a remote that is different from the other and it does not work properly. But the other remote works with both tv's so its fine for me. For the $ I can't see how you can go wrong with these.

I also lucked out I used to have an 08 suburban with RSE I kept the head sets from it, I was able to get both OEM GM head sets to RF link to these monitors giving me free head sets :D

Got my dash cam installed, but I still need figure out how to remove the headliner glass storage console trim and find a circuit to tap off of to get rid of the hanging wire that's now plugged into a power port below. Wouldn't it be nice if one of those many power ports were installed up there to begin with? :banghead:

Which dash cam did you buy?

The G1WH . Could be a knock off but so far so good. Heck- how do you knock off a 1080p dash cam that's only $65 to begin with? - LMAO!

Did you snake your wire all the way around your windshield? I'm thinking splice into something near the rear view mirror. Could power the radar det from there also.

yes,

I ran/tucked the wires along the headliner and the A pillar .Then run it underneath the dash and along the console then plug it inside the console accessories socket..

Got any pics of the grill emblem? I'm on the fence for doing the same to mine. Curious of how it looks

you dont have to remove the headliner to do that. just use your fingers and maybe a plastic screw driver to tuck the wire inside of the headliner and just keep tucking it until you get to an a pillar arm and then you can just pull that off and run your wire.

I did that for my Passport power cord. It was pretty simple and worked great.

Removed the front air dam, will see if I notice a difference in MPG. Like the way it looks now and I know it will be better after some lift and tires.

I removed the bed emblem for a cleaner look....

What lift/leveling kit is that?

I read somewhere that lifting a truck throws off the speedometer. Would putting a bigger tire on an OEM 20" rim with no lift do the same?
