Ok try not to laugh... i installed a set of OEM chrome tow hooks today. Only problem is, my frint end doesn't have the right filler panel with the tow hook holes, nor do i have the fake skid plate that attaches to it. My $ isnt right to be able to buy these 2 pieces new as if now, soooooo i drove to the local dealer and took measurements on the correct size opening and then came home and took a dremel and file to the filler. The holes actually turned out nice imo. Very square with sharp corners, and then i decided to plastidip the spot where the skid plate is supposed to be grey in an attempt to look like the z71. I really want the chrome one to match the high country grill but would b ok with the z71 version. Basically, a poor mans tow hook install lol. I dont think it looks terrible, but obviously not the real deal. Hopefully someone here has changed out their front bumper with a badass aftrtmarket one, and will read this and look at the pics, and feel sorry enough for me to cut me a deal on their used pieces! What yall think?

You can't tell you cut it until late you get close up on it, looks fine in the pic IMO

Also trimmed down my lower valence. I went back and forth, taking it on and off and trimming it flush but finally settle with trimming along the bumpers lines like ive seen a few others do. This i really DO like!

Both look good DB! I've been thinking about the valence too. Hmmm. What'd you use to trim it?

Thanks bud! I used a straight edge, a steady hand, a sharp razor knife, and a file.

I scored the lines againstbthe straight edge very slowly and repeated the process very carefully over and over until u get about halfway thru. Then u can pop it, and use the razor to make the final cut. I then filed all of the edges to get and excess fuzz and to smooth out the lines. The trick is to take your time here. Its not hard. Just requires patience. The key is multiple shallow passes. Just remember if u slip, its gonna dick it up lol
